Player Discussion Brady Tkachuk (LW) - Part XI

It's more that he played with an injury when there was already a chance of aggravating knowing USA had replacements ready to go and that Senators didn't have replacements especially with Pinto and Norris out.

But hopefully we don't miss the playoffs by a couple of points.

If it was a do or die game for the Sens he would have dressed. Some of you need a reason to bring out the pitch forks, I get it. I mean I don't, but I do.

And points in November are worth just as much as points in March.

Do Make Say Think is right, f***ing drama queens in here.

I knew this would get some backlash but the truth is, a guy like Sanderson makes a ton more sense for that kind of role. He plays a shitload of minutes, he's on the ice for virtually every scenario, he plays against the best players on every team, he plays extremely hard and fair and he has the kind of lead-by-example quality that makes him in the mold of an Alfredsson, who was the best style of captain in this team's history. And I'm not saying Sanderson is the only alternative, just giving what I think is a good example.

Maybe it's the kind of step that could help Brady refocus his energy and commitment. No need to worry about being a captain and all the duties that entails, just play hockey in the way everyone knows he's capable of.

All the more reason why they should be hungry.

The Sens have not been good lately, but I'm optimistic about this final stretch. The boys played their way into a good position at this point in the season, they control their own destiny now. If they stay healthy they will make the playoffs, I'm very confident in that.
 
This team has 3 key leaders in the organization: the GM, the coach and the captain. The GM and the coach have both been changed but somehow it's not even worth discussing making a captaincy change even if that person has held that position for what will now be 4 full seasons. What f***ing team are you guys cheering for? The Ottawa Senators or the Ottawa Tkachuks? His fanboys are so worried about his feelings all the time.

Its a stupid emotional suggestion. Were you convinced he should be stripped of the captaincy when the team was rolling along in December and January?

Coach and GM weren't even legit. Neither should have been given the jobs they held.
 
I love Brady Tkachuk in a Sens uniform, one of the greats to come to this city

I booed Brady so hard in that American sweater, and I’ll do it again next time
