He said that he doesn't want to have something that lingers because he said that he won't help the team at 50% trying to tough it out. Instead he had some more treatment and is ready to go 24 games hard. I am not sure how you can fault that logic. Why come back and aggravate the injury and then we are really f***ed. 24 games people , breathe
If it was a do or die game for the Sens he would have dressed. Some of you need a reason to bring out the pitch forks, I get it. I mean I don't, but I do.It's more that he played with an injury when there was already a chance of aggravating knowing USA had replacements ready to go and that Senators didn't have replacements especially with Pinto and Norris out.
But hopefully we don't miss the playoffs by a couple of points.
Okay, well maybe with Kleven. Can we put some glue on this:

Why waste time over something that won’t happen.Yea but the more important thing I want to know is how he'd feel if the C was stripped off his sweater.
idiotic idea of the day award .. you have to go some to get that on this siteYea but the more important thing I want to know is how he'd feel if the C was stripped off his sweater.
I knew this would get some backlash but the truth is, a guy like Sanderson makes a ton more sense for that kind of role. He plays a shitload of minutes, he's on the ice for virtually every scenario, he plays against the best players on every team, he plays extremely hard and fair and he has the kind of lead-by-example quality that makes him in the mold of an Alfredsson, who was the best style of captain in this team's history. And I'm not saying Sanderson is the only alternative, just giving what I think is a good example. Why waste time over something that won’t happen.
Why is it pretty clear that a guy that doesn't even have an A would be the captain?Cant really strip Brady of captaincy.
But pretty clearly if they were picking a captain right now it would be Sanderson.
saying the right things but the game is played on the ice.. and it seems like a long time since they gave us a complete gameOoooh boy, that's put up or shut up music right there eh?
I sincerely hope everyone rises to the challenge ahead of this team.
Because if they aren't, people are gonna lose their shit after saying something like this. Especially if they lose to the Sharks.
saying the right things but the game is played on the ice.. and it seems like a long time since they gave us a complete game
All the more reason why they should be hungry.saying the right things but the game is played on the ice.. and it seems like a long time since they gave us a complete game
lol @ the satirical analogy. This team has 3 key leaders in the organization: the GM, the coach and the captain. The GM and the coach have both been changed but somehow it's not even worth discussing making a captaincy change even if that person has held that position for what will now be 4 full seasons. What f***ing team are you guys cheering for? The Ottawa Senators or the Ottawa Tkachuks? His fanboys are so worried about his feelings all the time.
Its a stupid emotional suggestion. Were you convinced he should be stripped of the captaincy when the team was rolling along in December and January? This team has 3 key leaders in the organization: the GM, the coach and the captain.
