Yeah we were discussing that yesterday, not sure if it was this or some other thread. IMO that's no excuse, it's still on Tre. There's no reason to assume he wasn't OK with that course of action when he took the job, and if he wasn't and still took the job, it doesn't matter, he's the GM, it's on him and if you take the job, you take the responsiblity that comes with it. And if you don't like it, you say no.
Would be sweet if you could be the Leafs GM, take all the credit for the good moves you make and let someone take the blame for your mistakes. Doesn't work that way though, at least that's the way I see it.
