Brad Treliving is doing a great job.

The 4K probably includes a bunch that have been deleted by the mods. I know a number of mine have been, apparently because I laughed too hard at one of the posters who still thinks everything that a former GM did was perfect.

It was great that we beat Tampa, but I do feel the good will was immediately undone against Florida with that showing. I also seriously wonder if we still win if Cernak didn't get hurt. Our defense-core is in pretty serious trouble to match against those 3 teams.

I hope I'm not coming off as brash, but deep in my heart I really don't think this core can get it done. Really hope I'm wrong and I'm jealous that some of you guys still believe and don't feel cynical. Obviously I'm rooting for the cup but I don't think it's doable. The only path that looks remotely possible if you squint hard enough is that Matthews/whoever our goalie is happens to be white hot at the perfect time. Anyone can say this for their lead scorer and goalie though

This team has earned skepticism, but at the same.time.i don't buy that anything in the postseason is predetermined by the first week of February.

Imo without getting into stuff like belief in the core, a unbiased scan of the East (and especially the Atlantic division) suggests this is the most parity we've seen in the East since the current core started making the playoffs back in 2017. None of the top teams are head above the others

I think all teams in the East got holes or questions just like ours but I would still rank Bruins, Rangers, Panthers and Lightning ahead of us due to their goaltending. As I can see Swayman, Shek, Bob and Vas steal a series or two while I can't say the same with our goalies at this moment.

Don't disagree. But it also only takes a cold streak hitting the right guy fork a few games to flip a series. Or a hot streak doing the same ect

Not looking good so far, but he has been given enough rope to hang himself yet, it should be apparent by the start of next season whether he can build this team or not, or is it Shanahan doing these moves and Tre’s merely the puppet………

Prices are too high but also mad Treliving isn't making trades.

Complain about no cap space even before season start but also mad Treliving isn't adding anybody.

just nag nag nag no matter what is what really is happening
 
You know ... Nylander was never given so much opportunity before Treliving.
Treliving signed Nylander to an earn it contract.
Nylander is being groomed to be a center.

I wonder if this is a "directive" from Treliving?

Me too...I noticed some my reply posts involving said poster were removed. I think he might have complained...
 
For a refresher ... for some.

The objective is to discuss the post, not the poster.

Posts that do not comply will be deleted, and where deemed necessary the author of the "Off Topic" post may receive penalty.

Obviously, not every post is read by a moderator so there will be some posts that violate the rules but are not discovered. This does not condone those posts, which may eventually be identified.

Nylander is not being groomed to be a center if that were the case he would be by now.

Just because he took a couple faceoffs last night doesn't mean he's being groomed to be a center.

It means Kampf is hurt.

What better time is there than when 2 PK's are out of the line-up, and they don't have any centers in the line-up to PK. I'd agree with you if the Leafs had any centers in the line-up, but they didn't have a center on the bench so they sent out Nylander.

And it is 2 games in a row where Nylander is sent out on the PK at center.

While I agree Keefe has a propensity to dumb moves, I don't think Willy on the PK over JT qualifies.

And one of the very basic 'rules' is that you use a right shot on the right side and a left shot on the left side for faceoffs in your own end, especially when killing penalties.

The other thing is that if, as originally suggested, Tre is requesting it, we can absolve Keefe of the 'good decision'.
