I heard he was at the game last night, which shocked me.
I thought he disowned the Rangers and was still mad at the trade.
He has lived in Massachusetts for decades, is on the Bruins alumni, and played at their Winter Classic.

He is not in the Rangers alumni, nor is Jean Ratelle, could this be he has softened and might come back?

Considering he used to work for the Rangers as a scout I don't think he stuck to his word about disowning the Rangers.

Following his retirement in 1985, he briefly coached in the NHL and later returned to the Rangers as a pro scout.

Maybe he is scouting for another team now.

Brad Park did some pro scouting work for the Rangers a while ago. Glen Sather hired him. Why would Park hold a grudge? The people who traded him have been gone for almost 30 years.

Would like to see some 80's Rangers show up once in a while.

It;s like the Rangers have dis-associated themselves with the whole decade.

I want to see the favorites liek Ron Scott, Rob McClananhan and Mark Morrison

Yup, he was at the game last night with Eddie G. I was 3 rows behind them.

Edit: When I say them, they were put together by the camera crew by the exit to wave hello to the crowd.

Greschner is around all the time.

I used to think he lived there back before the NHL totally disgusted me and I paid for tickets.

Park was also at least one one of the Ranger viewing parties at Foxwoods awhile back. he's got really bad knees, he sat down for most of it.

Cute.

The guy is a top 3 Rangers defenseman of all-time. I dont know about any grudge or anything like that, but it was good to see him at the Garden hanging with Giacomin.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

And as the picture states, I have no strong feeling about it one way or other in terms of him holding a grudge against the Rangers. Sure, it's great he was hanging out with Giacomin but as far what I think he thinks toward the organization is pretty neutral.

I met Brad at a Ranger Subscriber/Alumni function about 4 years ago in the "Felt Forum".

He was signing blank cards because they hadn't any with his picture.

I told him he should come around more often and that there were still many fans well over 50 who still remember and appreciate him as a Ranger.

Maybe he took it to heart.

That'd be epic.
In other news, I wish I could meet Eddie Giacomin one time...

Really? I thought Park was ex-communica with the Rangers.
If he's back then why was he at the Bruins Winter Classic and ignored at ours...heck if he's made good with the Rangers than retire his damn number.

What about Ratelle?

Why stop with those giants of Broadway past? What's Wayne Thomas, Tony Feltrin, Rob Whistle, Tim Bothwell, Lance Nethery, Jim Pavese, Wilf Paiment, Igor Liba, Stephane Brochu, and (my personal fave) Soren True up to these days?

The number 2 is already retired....

One of my fave Rangers ever. The guy was exciting.

I really hated that trade so very, very much. Was in shock for months, maybe years.

Ron Harris, Peter McDuffe, Curt Ridley, Sheldon Kannegiesser, Dany Newman, Pierre Jarry, Lucien DeBlois, Bruce MacGregor, Ted Irvine, Bill Fairbairn, Jack Egers, Michel Petit, Jim Nielson, Dave Silk, Vaclav Nedomansky, Hardy Aastrom, the list goes on.

Speaking of old-timers, Rod Gilbert is a member of my gym. I see him there pretty much every day. Chat with him every once in a while. He's always wearing one Rangers t-shirt or another.

Jeff Bloemberg, Jan Erixon, Raimo Helminen, Mark Osborne, Mike Ridley, Pierre Larouche, Mark Hardy, the list does go on

I heard Park interviewed a few years ago and he said he will always consider himself a Ranger and he definitely has no hard feelings against the trade

Bless you for that.
He was the best D of his era except for Bobby Orr, IMO.
That #2 should have been shared.

I still curse Cat Francis for making that deal.

Park >>>>>>>>>>>> Carol Vadnais
Ratelle >>>>>>>>>>> Espo

and of course, Joe Zanussi!
