Brad Marchand traded to Florida, Brandon Carlo to Toronto

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
I haven't seen enough of Minten to know much about him on the ice other than he's considered a good two-way player.
This is what I mean.

The cat who started this made a comparison he knew was going to be inflammatory. He saw two guys, two sets of numbers and went “yeah he’s basically the same thing as this other loser.”

It’s lazy. And it’s wildly inaccurate. And it’s typical ignorant pisspot opinion.

Now if he has said that he didn’t think Minten was fast enough, aggressive enough, doesn’t carry the puck enough. Isn’t remarkable enough in any discernible way and won’t drive a line. Probably won’t make it. I disagree, but I respect the difference of opinion. Hell, If you wanted to argue that he wouldn’t last on a fourth line and needs to play with offensive players in order to be effective - I’d agree.

But this other shit is agenda.

Give me a break. As an avowed Sweeney fan, if anything I should want to defend this move. But I call 'em as I see 'em. And yes, I've seen enough of both Lazar and Minten to know that they are similar players in terms of their role and impact (leaving aside your desperate quibbling about exact style of play). For you to ignore all of the similarities which BruinDust and I noted suggests that it's YOU who has the agenda...namely one of homerism.
