The Bruins are in a tough spot right now and they might have to have some long, tough conversations with their Captain if things keep going south. As a Bruins fan, it pains me to say that, but it's a realistic possibility that shit could hit the fan by the trade deadline.

Marchand and MacKinnon are good buddies which is why I think he would possibly be open for a move there if it comes to that. Again, just spit balling.

Would something around Marchand & Nichushkin be a possibility?

Definitely a possibility, not a fan of Marchands age and that he's UFA after this season though

Wait... Who's the superstar here.

Nichushkin is the closest to being a superstar at this point quite frankly
Nichushkin is injured and just coming off a half season suspension for substance abuse.

Why would Boston trade a franchise legend and productive player for a guy with substance abuse problems and isn't healthy when they're in the middle of a playoff push?

Ask the Boston fan who started this thread.

There's a lot of snow on them mountains in Denver.

This trade also doesn't need to happen today. This is more towards the deadline. The Bruins are slipping badly.

Nuke is signed for 5 more years at $6.125m. Yes, there's a chance he'll get suspended again, but if he can stay eligible and healthy, it's one of the better contracts in the league. Absolutely zero interest in trading him for a rental Marchand.

Now, if Nuke can't get healthy by the TDL, maybe a more traditional rental package for Marchand could make sense, but the Avs don't have a ton available. Best they should do is something like the Rangers 2nd + Olausson, or a top 10 protected 2027 1st + Foudy.

Marchand is coming to Edmonton! Lol
Perry, Kane, Marchand and McDavid on the same team?!?!?! 😍

Cant see the money working and the Oilers are pretty deep on LW.

I’d go as far as to say that any shot the Avs have at a run depends on Nuke being healthy and clean. If that happens, they’re getting incredible value at that contract. Moving it is so pointless— everyone knows the risk and no one will pay what he’s worth to Colorado. I’m just saying what’s been said in countless other threads.

a center would be better, but adding Marchand immediately makes any team better (at least I think? Has he fallen off a cliff?)

Nichushkin makes little sense for many reasons. What else does Boston want from a deal right now?

This literally has zero impact on the fact he's still the best player in this deal.

Also, it was a Boston fan who started this thread. LoL.

Boston just signed a bunch of players to big contracts in the offseason. They are more in a win now mode than sell off. If anything happens with Boston , IMO it would be in the offseason.

Marchand and Carlo what would their worth be. Bruins are in limbo whether they’re going to sell or buy. When all is said and done I think they become sellers.

Carlo obviously from Colorado and is still a steady reliable defenseman just don’t expect much physical play and at times seems like he has a brain freeze, but he’s still a number 4 defender.

Marchand is still elite despite has age and obvious loss in speed, he still can produce and create offense, problem being in Boston, he’s been ask to carry a line and play with arguably 3rd liners and at this stage in his career Marchand can’t do that alone.

Bruins I feel would be basically looking for near NHL ready prospects/ picks
