Brad Marchand puts his hand around Nick Cousins' neck by the benches

Not helping your stance as much as you pretend.

You believe Marchand, with this motion, was legitimately attempting to choke Cousins? Speaks volumes.
No, I believe you didn't read anything and are completely bias here. I specifically said "Do I think he way trying to choke him out? No. "

And Cousins just takes it like the puss he is.

Rats don’t have hands though.

The optics are obviously bad, but anyone calling it a choke is heavily misrepresenting what happened here. No one is choking anyone in that video. That said, it's Brad. Brad is kinda a dumb-dumb.

Bruins fans are the word salad generation. They’re saying the same things repeatedly, but actually saying nothing.

Pretty clear what happened with Marchand. The Panthers broke the Bruins bad, consequently they’re probably not even making the playoffs this season. Cousins was part of the massive take down, causing Marchand to become so psychologically broken that he does this weird shit. He’s so easily triggered, like his fan base.

He went to choke Cousins but couldn’t even do that right. Cousins looked at him with pity and didn’t even bother to engage. Bruins should fire their pres and GM and start over but the owner is a NE dolt so they won’t. It’s hilarious for the rest of the league.

Never understood why anything related to Boston that's idiotic is not looked at as a big deal.

Whenever a Boston fan or player does something foolish everyone just seems to smile, crack a joke and be like, "Ohhhh you!" or "Thats our Boston!"

What is so special about that place that gives it a get out of jail free card?

Embarrassing attempt.

As a Sens fan this is no big deal. The league could have fined Marchand but it’s not worthy of suspension. The refs should also be fined for blowing dead a loose puck sitting out in the open behind Korpisalo.

It was odd. First time I recall seeing a ref skating towards the red line saying, "My fault," so obviously.

Sucked for the Senators but at least he wasn't a dink.

Thanks for making my point all the stronger- those asshats kept it in check on the field, because they knew they had to do so. There are immoral characters in every sport, just ask Carter Hart- if you wanna conflate job and life infractions, ok, that just helps my point.
I'll take job infractions i.e. doing dumb stuff like licking/fake chokeholds over murder/spouse/dog abuse away from work any day of the week.

You really think these guys are all angels on the field as well? Comical

Oh, and here's Hernandez "keeping it in check":

Yeah. No point. Life scumbag stuff will always bleed over into professional work.

I liked Hernandez as a Pats fan but once all the dirt came out about him in his college years..the guy should have been banned from ever playing the league. Let's face it, the leagues only care about money. Not morals or rules.

You keep saying this over and over again - are you trying to convince everybody else or yourself that this garbage is actually true ???? By the way - since you keep saying this repeatedly I guess that actually makes you the " word salad generation " here. Basically you're the Florida version of HockeyVirus - anything negative about the Bruins and you're ready to chime in and bore us with your opinion.

It isn’t one or the other. We aren’t trading issues here, the point is that for all the off-the-field shit, NFL does a lot better at keeping players in line during the game.

There’s also a numerical difference in having a 54 man roster vs 23, never mind the influence socioeconomic background has- unfortunately more NFLers grow up with less, and shockingly that leads to more crime than a rich kid going to a private school so he can play more hockey. Not to excuse anything, just explaining why that tends to happen more in the football world- they’re still arrested less than the average American, as much as people love to vilify them.

But sure, Aaron Hernandez existed so Marchand can choke people.

You root for Patrice Bergeron and get into semantic bullshit like that? Shame.

“Kindly caressed his throat”- bro, anytime you do that, I don’t care about force applied- use whatever verbiage you want, he put his hand around a dude’s throat. I know world is wacky lately, but that shit ain’t normal or ok. f*** Nick Cousins, but he shoulda crushed Marchand’s substantive beak there.

Are we really doing this? You don't think hockey players have had their issues with domestic abuse and sexual assault??
