Brad Marchand puts his hand around Nick Cousins' neck by the benches

Yeah, I've worked pretty closely with psychologists and psychiarists for 20 years and have a decent grasp of what they are looking for when they are assessing and diagnosing people.

What I've learned in those 20 years? Leave the assessing and diagnosing to the professionals and do your own job. And medical professionals don't predict whether people gets killed in a few years based on their personality profiles or psychiatric diagnoses. Goodness me.

I’m not wishing that on him. He’s unstable and reckless and doesn’t know when he’s in over his head. There is something wrong with him . Licking choking and admitting he tries to hurt players on other teams. Something is off with him and in the real world the refs and his teammates won’t be there to bail him out. Hopefully he gets therapy when he retires. He needs it.
Based on your posts in this thread, I'd say there's something wrong with you moreso than Marchand who by all accounts is a great guy off the ice.

Are we really that worked up about this?
Both players have prior sketchy incidents on ice.
Marchand should have gotten an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

I don’t think he choked him or applied any pressure either. Looks like Cousins said something before anyway but I can’t read lips.

Then we have next game Cousins sticking his knee out & injuring himself lol

You dont know shit about Brad Marchand and are talking out of your ass. You shouldn't really comment on things you have no clue about. What type of asshole predicts someone's death in 3 years.
You are correct. I over stepped. I think there is something off about him but my point was just I could see him getting into trouble because of that. I’m surprised how many folks attach personal feelings to this. The reality is this entire site is people who don’t know anything about the players that are the subject of virtually all the comments or the owners or the refs or Bettman for that matter. I’d change the comment but it’s been quoted.

There’s nothing he does off ice that indicates him getting in trouble with anything. Well liked, great for the community etc.

If you care to, you can read this article written by Mr. Brad Marchand himself. It gives some insight into how he became the player he is. Plus it's an entertaining read.

"You know, sometimes people ask me what it’s like to be hated by so many other fans. It would be easy to say that it doesn’t bother me at all. But it’s complicated. Obviously, you want people to be able to separate who you are on the ice versus the real person off it."

Looking forward to Marchand getting inducted into the HHOF and Jack Edwards doing the honors. The absolute hand wringing and whining is off the charts. I’m not sure how most of the fans posters here survived watching hockey in the 60’s-80’s, but HF boards would’ve needed safe spaces, coloring books and therapy sessions to get through one night of games. Hockey used to be a game for tough blue color players and fans, it’s turned into euro soccer. It’s embarrassing.
