I still think Lambert will be a regular in the middle 6. Still a steal at 30th overall.

Agreed. He's a player that we will need to be patient with his development. I don't expect him to make the Jets for atleast another year, possibly 2.

It's a shame that bad game wiped out all of the games previously. Has to start all over again. *sigh*
No question about that, as Lambert is looking like a steal of a pick, and could end up being a # 1 liner for the Jets. I think he'll be in the lineup this upcoming season.

Yes, I don't think he plays a pro game right now. Hopefully a year of seasoning will be adequate.

I saw that he's had 9 shots in 2 games but only one helper so far
Article also mentionned that many of his points have come on the PP and Seattle has only had 4 so far

Seattle in general, has not played their best hockey......yet.
People way over emphasize small sample sizes especially with young players.
Lambert is having a good game tonight. No points, but he's creating a lot of offense, and basically runs the Seattle PP from the right half wall.
I feel he's earned it. At least as much as Scheifele has anyway.
Jets posting Lambert leading the CHL in playoff zone entries was not my bingo card. I thought the only analytic they knew was the Grit/60.
IIRC we heard a lot about "zone time" for a few years at least. That key stat told us that the Jets spent plenty of time achieving little in the OZ. ZoneTime / Futility / 60.
We've heard less about that analytic breakthrough under Bowness.
Great to see Big Bad already projecting as an Ehlers-type zone entry machine. Will be nice to have at least 2 guys who can gain the zone consistently.
I dunno, our PP performed admirably in gaining access to the zone this year.

When he has the puck he pushes teams back. IMO the next thing he needs to work on is when to shoot and when to distribute.

It isn't about 'proving' himself. I think he will need that bridge development to be ready..

Elite shift from Lambert. He's looked good tonight, just needs more skill around him.
I'm glad everyone else is starting to see why I was so high on this kid last year despite what the critics were saying.
He's definitely more of a shoot first kind of player. That is sometimes not a bad thing if you can make the snap decision of when to shoot to score and when to shoot for rebounds. I wish more players could make that distinction on the fly. If you see nothing and are under pressure shoot low, not high.
