Boyle and D Moore on ice for basically every goal against?

Yeah, Boyle was loved by the coach
And still managed to become a healthy scratch for
Several games. He was dynamite last year in a system that played to all of his limited strengths. Halpern even at his advanced age is still a better
Player; nuff already.

Do you know what confirmation bias is? It seems when Boyle gets benched, it's because he's terrible, but when Moore/Halpern get benched it's because of bad management.

I'm sure you have some support for that? No? Of course not, because it's wrong. Boyle's assist last night was his 1st secondary assist on the season, the other five were primary assists (Source). And last night's assist wasn't serendipitous, it was a stretch pass that lead to the rush by Kreider and Stepan.

Moore has played in 26 games this season. In 18 of them (and 2 of the past 3) he's played less minutes than Boyle.

Haven't read through this thread, but id imagine it's cherry picking one game and using it as a confirmation for some more unfounded Boyle hate, despite his extremely large body of work in which he has proven beyond all reasonable doubt to be a defensively responsible forward?

How close was I?

Okay well I don't expect anyone to be eating any crow anytime soon then. Boyle is not getting benched. Where do you come up with this?

There is no one else in this organization fit for the role Boyle plays currently except Dominic Moore, and oh look, he's already in the line-up.

Edit: One thing I will say is, yes it sucks Boyle doesn't bury or create some more offense when the opportunity arises, but since it is not his primary function, nor expected by anyone but you, why would he get benched for it? Who, who will come in and do what Boyle does admirably AND score? WHO

TELL ME WHO WILL REPLACE HIM AND SCORE GOALS WITH SKILZ, PLS RESPOND BRADOVF!!!! Pls respone me!

Torts scratched players he liked probably more than those he did not. He scratched Richards for christ sakes. Scratching Boyle was not for lack of effort, or his ineptitude as much as Torts wanting to light a fire under his ass and get more out of Boyle than Boyle is normally capable of since he had success there in the past.

You guys make him the most popular. Boyle is what he is, a good defensive 4th line center who has no offense, period. Its disturbing how many people spend time arguing about him.

Hypocrite.

As long as people to continue to rip Boyle for absolutely no reason when the rest of this team is failing at their roles on a nightly basis, the rest of us will feel the need to let them know they are indeed wrong.

Suit yourself, Boyle is what he is. Not sure why he is always the main target here. We all know he isnt that good but yet people seem to expect more from him.

Well the Lightning don't have any in the 20% range besides Tom Pyatt, who has played 9 minutes on the season. Their lowest is almost 40%.

It would not be good to have 6 or 7 scratches on a team.

If the team didn't have Boyle, they wouldn't collapse. That obviously means he has no value.

Why do ranger fans think it's ok to have players on the team that bring nothing to the table?

Every off season we sign more plugs and goons

Just stop adding these no dimensional bodies and maybe the team will improve

And keep giggling about having useless players on the roster
