Confirmed with Link: Bowen Byram and Jordan Greenway to Chicago for 4th Overall, 45th Overall, Louis Crevier

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
They likely had to outbid other teams. But they gave up a lot

We truly will see what Byram has now in the windy city.

ps Any chatter on around if Byram is going to extend right away there ? Just curious, with this type of return, one would think so.

I've seen 7x12.5 which is really pissing Chicago fans off. Jut internet trolling though.

This is absolutely a steal. Mittelstadt turned into one of these two guys.

Bjorck will be in the NHL next year.

I've been banging the drum trying to figure out how to trade up to get him for awhile now 😂
The best i had guessed was #7. Cannot believe we got #4
I hope they keep 4OA. Bound to be someone valuable there. At least 3 of the 4 d-men, Malhotra, your boy.

Still can't believe Jarmo unloaded Greenway without having to add a sweetener or retain. Jordan is a useful player, but probably the worst value contract on the team.

good job guys. cant wait until davidson is fired. hes the idiot that traded the spots that Zharovsky and Bryce Pickford was drafted in last year for Mason West. A guy that will never sniff an NHL rink because hes not a hockey player. He is also the guy that traded assets twice for some reason to draft Sasha Boisvert, and also the guy that took Levshunov over Demidov. You cant give him credit for Bedard because that fell into his lap. He does have some decent late round picks but I am pretty sure the scouts found those guys.

Crevier was the Blackhawks best D last year and it wasnt even close. Wait until you check his analytics the last two years. Good luck winning the cup because you are probably a lot closer now with this great trade...

Yeah, we are all pleased with the return but you guys are getting a very good player in Byram and a decent player in Greenway.

I want to frame this. And I can't stand Lazerus.

To use that incredibly valuable pick — AND a second-round pick, AND one of Jeff Blashill’s few reliable defenders in Crevier — to instead acquire yet another offense-first defenseman who struggles in his own end? And an oft-injured salary-dump in Greenway, to boot? It’s legitimately shocking. Somewhere in Vancouver, Bedard must be screaming into a pillow.

I’ve restarted trying to type a post about this confirmed deal for about five minutes straight now.

I ended up on this:

Is Jarmo a wizard?
I didnt follow the draft at all this year. What's it looking like at 4? Its in Buffalo this weekend, I need to snag tickets! What about draft BPA at 4 and trade 20/45 + prospect for Thomas?
