Confirmed with Link: Bowen Byram and Jordan Greenway to Chicago for 4th Overall, 45th Overall, Louis Crevier

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
Davidson - I will give you the 4th overall for Byram?
Jarmo - Nah I need more
Davidson - And the 45th overall?
Jarno snickers away from the phone then says - Nope, more....
Davison - And Crevier?
Jarno - Let me think about it, you need to take Greenway off my hands too!
Davidson - Deal no take backs!

ahahahaha

I’m so curious what they do with the pick. You can big game hunt with real ammo now. But if you hold it you’re guaranteed a really good player you aren’t paying for a while. Most likely at center.
Bjorck is absolutely NHL ready. Sure he could maybe put on weight but his IQ is off the charts. I swear He could come in and make an impact THIS season.

And at 4OA.......you're not waiting 4-5 years for him to arrive. Probably 1 more year of cooking then into the NHL.

There's already some rumors that Byram will extend for $12.5M AAV

if true, wow...
I really think it might take that. Davidson has just dumped a ton of assets to get him, including taking on a 1 yr cap dump. He's gotta make sure Byram signs an extension. 12+ mil AAV seems like desperation, but Byram holds all the bargaining power.

Sounds like Chicago' was negotiating against itself here.
I think them taking Levshunov over Demidov ripple effected itself into this win for us.

Now that Stenberg looks to be going to San Jose the dream of him falling to 4 is over…and they knew they weren’t getting that elite line mate for Bedard now either. So they had to choose between waiting on Reid or believing in Byram. I can’t believe what they chose. And then took Greenway. And then added a second.
