Bouch is simply better at producing offense and both are average on the defensive end. Makes no sense for the Oilers to save a mill or so.
Holy shit, you have no idea who Sanderson is. That's pathetic.Only player the Sens have even close to Bouchs value is Stutzle.
Another defenceman not as good as Bouch?Holy shit, you have no idea who Sanderson is. That's pathetic.
Once again, you have no clue what you're talking about.Another defenceman not as good as Bouch?
Maybe I just don’t live in your fantasy land where a 0.5PPG defenceman with worse analytics is better than a 1PPG defenceman with better analytics.Once again, you have no clue what you're talking about.
You live in a fantasy world if you think Bouchard is anywhere near Sanderson defensively.Maybe I just don’t live in your fantasy land where a 0.5PPG defenceman with worse analytics is better than a 1PPG defenceman with better analytics.
What stats do you have to back that up? Any?You live in a fantasy world if you think Bouchard is anywhere near Sanderson defensively.
I watch more teams than just my own - clearly unlike you, or you never, ever would have said that. Never. What stats do you have to back that up? Any?
Has Sanderson going through 4 playoff rounds as a stud number 1 defenceman?
So you got nothing but your personal eye test. No stats. Nothing to back it up except anecdotes.I watch more teams than just my own - clearly unlike you, or you never, ever would have said that. Never.

Bouchard has 15 points in 22 gamesMaybe I just don’t live in your fantasy land where a 0.5PPG defenceman with worse analytics is better than a 1PPG defenceman with better analytics.
He’s a better defenceman than Sanderson. Doubles his production. Plays top pair, one half of one of the best top pairs in the League. 5th in Norris Voting. GENERATIONAL playoff production.Do you?
And once again, for the record, it should be noted that you think Bouchard is a better defender than Sanderson. Just for the lols sake.
Small sample. Why don’t you look at the entirety of last year. The oilers have been snakebitten in the scoring dept to start this year, it’s affected McD and Drai. Won’t be the same story when this season finishes out.Bouchard has 15 points in 22 games
Sanderson 14 points in 21 games

Have you ever heard the expression the best defense is a good offense? Bouchard is the epitome of an ice-tilter. Is he the best defensive player in the defensive zone? No, not at all, but he has a good breakout pass and he dominates the neutral zone and the offensive zone in a way that naturally leads to a lot of puck possession when he is out there. You live in a fantasy world if you think Bouchard is anywhere near Sanderson defensively.
Right. He's not as good as Sanderson defensively and it's really not close. It's cool that when he gets the puck he does fancy things with it, but that really wasn't the initial debate.Have you ever heard the expression the best defense is a good offense? You need to watch more of him instead of coming out guns blazing trumpeting the laurels of a D-man when you don't know anything about the other D-man.He’s a better defenceman than Sanderson. I noticed Sanderson in the recent Oilers-Sens tilt. He’s a fine player. He’s not even close to Bouch at this point.
Why? My assessment is correct. Bouchard>Sanderson. Easy.Right. He's not as good as Sanderson defensively and it's really not close. It's cool that when he gets the puck he does fancy things with it, but that really wasn't the initial debate.

And...now who's using anecdotes?
It isn't about him doing fancy things, it's practical things, like well timed o-zone pinches, good pass selection, good gap control in the neutral zone, and a great pokecheck.Right. He's not as good as Sanderson defensively and it's really not close. It's cool that when he gets the puck he does fancy things with it, but that really wasn't the initial debate.
That wasn't the debate. Goodness, you're on a roll. Why? My assessment is correct. Bouchard>Sanderson. Easy.
Pretty sure the debate was who’s the better defenceman. That was kicked off by my statement, Bouch is the better defenceman. That wasn't the debate. Goodness, you're on a roll.
This was my favourite. Maybe I just don’t live in your fantasy land where a 0.5PPG defenceman with worse analytics is better than a 1PPG defenceman with better analytics.Pretty sure the debate was who’s the better defenceman. That was kicked off by my statement, Bouch is the better defenceman.
I see nothing wrong with that statement and stand by it.This was my favourite. Maybe I just don’t live in your fantasy land where a 0.5PPG defenceman with worse analytics is better than a 1PPG defenceman with better analytics.
I'm sure you would....because you've seen Sanderson play I'm guessing thrice in your life.I see nothing wrong with that statement and stand by it.
