I just don't like how we give out long-term contracts to grinders who don't contribute much of anything.

Kyle Clifford: signed through 2019-2020 (?!)
Jordan Nolan: signed through 2017-2018

Andreoff is signed through next season, but that's permissible given he's a young guy who's got much to prove.

Meanwhile, we have guys like Mike Mersch, Nic Dowd, and Justin Auger, all of whom deserve a shot next year, but will be blocked by a couple of guys who don't have much, if any, room for development, and suck.

I'd say 2 of those 3 won't be back as well as Lewis. We will probably start too see more of a youth movement in the coming years and really the only way I see to help with the bottom 6 scoring. It's really going to be up to Sutter to trust them enough to play them.

he's gonna have to if there's no vets left to plug

gonna be interesting to see what they do with the bottom six after this season

Clifford has 1 goal in 42 games. Brutal.

Between him and Nolan, Clifford's likelier to move, based on his cap hit, probable value, and the depth we should have at LW.

But then you see Nolan has 0 goals in 52 games.
