coyle with retention will be interesting to a lot of teams, without retention it might be tough

geekie and frederic could get the bruins a solid return

im sure the bruins will take what they can get for peeke and korpisolo if someone wants to be reckless

marchand only gets traded if he asks for it

dont really see anyone else being moved, also bruins find a way even with injuries so this is too early

I think they would keep Geekie above all of those players named. He's been a decent soldier and will hopefully be a nice tidy contract for the next few years.

The rest...f*** em.

What exactly Boston Bruins front office really want ?
That's the BIG question
Does they want to start to rebuild or retool ?
To me they can trade a lot of players and gets young prospect and pick
It seem a rebuild but with a couple of surprise it can accelerate and became a retool

Oilers have Pickard,Skinner duo in net and one of Klingberg,Emberson playing top 4 RD.

Adding Peeke and Korpi would be the opposite of reckless

With McAvoy basically out for the regular season, Sweeney's gonna have to fire up the burners to try an figure out what next year looks like.

Backs are against the wall. No hope for the Bruins.
McAvoy out long term. Lindholm still not back to make up for the loss of Charlie.
The team has grossly underachieved.

This looks like the formula for an awesome surprise about to unfold.
I like the Mangiapane for cap space trade idea. Play him on line 2 or 3.

Trade Frederic for an overpayment.
Try to move on from Brazeau and Korpi (low return).
Include Lysell and Merkulov as add ons in deals.
Keep Geekie. He’s a controlled RFA.
Carlo? Package has to be great to let go of him.
Marchand - it’s up to him. I think he stays for the magic that will happen in 2025.

I am one of a very few optimistic Bruins fans who believe they will make the playoffs and surprise with a round or two.

St. Louis 1st and Bolduc in return, if you really want him and him not going to another team instead. Yes, you could wait until the summer, but another team will get a chance to negotiate with him before then ... assuming Boston doesn't resign him and not trade him.

A top 8 pick and Bolduc? Lol, you wouldn’t even get Bolduc for him.

It'll 100% be a retool but we desperately need pieces in our system. We've traded away so many picks and prospects through the years it's finally caught up to us. I think they look to trade obviously expiring deals but I think they are also interested in moving a little salary for next year so they can add some new pieces in the off season to try and adjust the look of the team a little.

I know GMs covet their grit but I'm getting increasingly annoyed with some of these folks asking for a haul for Trent f***ing Frederic
Last years Frederic would have gotten us a nice haul. This years version will be us a decent pick or prospect

Retool and I would say Sweeney would take prospects, on the cusp of playing in the NHL, over 2025 picks. Especially wingers and Centers. Carlo, Coyle, Frederic and Korpisalo should all be on the block.

Neely had mentioned a quick retool. Bruins are positioned well as far as this summers cap. I would say Sweeney probably concentrates on 2026 picks but like I said will take back prospects with real potential.

I think Boston should listen on Morgan Geekie as well. I think he's great and would love to extend him but he's definitely worth throwing out there. 18 goals this year and a great swiss army knife that can play all 3 positions. Pending RFA so whoever trades for him would have team control.

Calling Coyle a 2C is generous. He's a 3C on a contending team and Boston would likely have to retain to make a deal work.

Geekie always stands out to me when I watch Boston. Would love to have him on the Sens but probably don't have what it takes to get a deal done.

In terms of draft pick value, I would think...

Marchand: 1st and a B prospect or hang onto him.
Carlo: 1st or two 2nd's
Coyle: 2nd and 4th
Frederic: 2nd

But honestly, I hope the Bruins are able to get young NHL'ers or NHL ready prospect of roughly equal value.
" hope the Bruins are able to get young NHL'ers or NHL ready prospect of roughly equal value."

Where I am at. Prospects that have done well in the AHL. And did well in their callups.

McAvoy and Lindhom out for what could be the rest of the year guts an already poor dee force. Sell everything, it is a close out sale. Pasta is the only redeeming factor that has kept them in the playoff hunt.
