I keep forgetting how weak this draft is projected to be he probably does get a late first if it's a 2025 pick given that most draft guys are saying the late first round this year is equivalent to a 2nd round pick most years.
Heard a rumour the Panthers were talking to Ban about Boeser.

It's a write-off year for the Canucks. Would be dumb to not trade BB but with AQ as the owner, he will probably walk away as a UFA for nothing.

What about Boeser for Rasmussen + Tarasenko?
Wings can sign boeser and VAN gets a big young C and a winger to repace the offense who hasnt been a good fit in detroit
If Allvin likes the pkayer then that’s the return. If he likes a different player on another club, which is often the case with him, then he will prefer picks and flip those for what he wants.

You're not getting Boeser for that paltry throw away offer.

Rasmussen is a 'what you see is what you get' bottom 6 player that doesnt use his size nearly enough for his frame. He's nothing special and his potential is pretty tapped out as a 30-40 pt guy at 25 yrs old.

Tarasenko is practically retired at this point. His game is a shell. He's just a name at this point.

That’s fine but this is probably the type of player the Cannucks likely target. They’ll be looking for younger NHL ready players with potential now versus draft picks (what’s a late 1st in a weak draft gonna do for them this playoff push)?.

I would think getting rid of both Miller and Boesner pretty much signals they've pretty much have given up making the playoffs

Easily a top 3 dumbest owner in the NHL

Aquilini is soooo damn stupid
His obsession with two home games in the playoffs trumps all future thinking

Seen it for years
You could show this dude 50 different models outlining there is a 0.05% chance

And he’s like Lloyd Christmas
“So there is a chance”

I can’t believe how many deadlines this team has screwed up.

Gonna be a very interesting few years for free agents. The market is completely reset with cap growth, it just becomes a matter of who blinks and signs first to dictate new face values.

Im really not sure why I have a soft spot for this kid, probably because he's as high a character human you could get, got dragged through the mud for years courtesy of media, and has seen so much tragedy the past few years, but if I were management I would be going to him and going "we are probably moving you, we will move heaven and earth to get you where you would like to be, what are your thoughts?".

This is a guy I would want that for even at the expense of not getting max value (obviously not doing something damaging).

If he wanted to go home to Minnesota, or had buddies somewhere else, I would be willing to accept mid round picks or equivalent if need be.

With how much this current regime has a rep for signing and flipping guys, or letting dirty laundry air out in public, I'm sure that a gesture like this would go a long way when it comes to future free agents.

I'm not super interested in either personally, but Allvin will have one person he wants, and either trade Boeser for that player, or sell Boeser for futures to a contender and then trade the futures to whatever team has what he wants.

He's done it like three times already.

To Florida for 2026 first and Spencer Knight? Then flip the first for the player Allvin really wants? Norris is injured but could be a guy that fits with Allvin’s plans?

I have no idea, but Norris is a potentially good buy low target, plus someone who's friends with Hughes.

You'd have to think Ottawa would also want to get players instead of picks though, they're close to the playoffs.

Sens could use the first (Panthers 2026) to get a player they want.

They could, but it seems very few other GMs are interested in playing Allvin's favourite trading game, otherwise someone would have started trading like this long ago.

If I remember correct Tampa used the first they got from Van in the Miller trade to get a guy (that was key) to help them win two Cups. The smart GMs can think several steps ahead.

Yeah, others have definitely done it, but not at the rate Allvin has. Three times in the past 2 seasons.

Jets might be interested in Boeser but I don't think he's a good fit. He's too slow to be effective in the Jets high pace system. Reminds me a bit of Toffoli who wasn't able to contribute much in the playoffs and ended up on the 4th line.

But if the Jets disagree and try to acquire him, I'm not sure they need to put a 1st on the table. If the Jets refuse to put a 1st on the table, which other contender would to outbid them? Not many contenders with their 2025 1st.
