If we insist on Rielly on the PP there simply has to be a room for a set where he roams down and maybe even takes up the bumper spot while a Matthews or Nylander rotate for a one time shot up top. Have to... should not have to tell an experienced PP coach this.
He does not belong

This is how you know the Bruins will beat the Leafs again in the playoffs. In every series they seem to respond quickly when Leafs score, it's as if they can score at will. "Ok we're behind, turn it up a notch and they can't handle us" Tie game again and again in the last few years.

Now imagine this game were in Boston, last change and their loud crowd.
If they lose to this Bruins team in the playoffs, blow it up.

wish it was in the first 10 seconds

It looks like when we have all the stars out there they each hold the puck for one beat longer than they should so the defensive coverage can adjust. As opposed to having someone who can be a quick distributor who can swing it one way or another and open up a seam or shooting lane.

Leafs powerplay needs a legit power play quarterback defenseman with intelligence, poise, patience, smooth skating style and elite playmaking vision(kaberle, Lidstrom, Markov)and a slick dual roving passing/shooting threat off wall ( Alexei kovalev type) nylander should fill that role imo

Another thing the leafs powerplay needs: a big bomb shot from the point (Al mcinnis, Bryan McCabe, Sheldon souray, shea Weber)

Rielly is too nervous under pressure, rushes when its time to make quick and smart decisions, has tunnel vision and awkward skating style
