Not a popular opinion but I have not been a fan of the Fleury TVR combo all season. I’d rather have Jake with Fleury.

I don't think Rod trusts Gardiner 5 on 5. And with Hamilton back and Vatanen on the PP units, Gardiner isn't really needed. TvR seems a better fit 5 on 5 and for PK duties, which is why he's getting the nod over Gardiner.

I wasn't a fan of him starting Mrazek last game but Mrazek was probably our best player and didn't do much to lose the net.

That's mostly because the forwards have been bad. Gardiner doesn't really move the needle on the PP either, in fact his lack of mobility would have made the problem even worse.

Also, I don't want Fleury or Gardiner on their offside having to go against the Bruins forecheck on their patented cross corner dump ins.

I can imagine both goalies. To be honest Mrázek was the saving grace in terms of watchability in game 3. I am using small letters, so everyone knows I mean business.

Like Aho said, everyone needs to step up after Svech's injury. They need to get it done to still have a good chance in this series. If not, going down 3-1 is something barely anyone has ever recovered from to make a comeback. So,

I say play Reimer. What do we have left to lose? Go all out. If they lose, Mrazek still has a chance to play the next one and vice versa. But honestly Reimer can steal this game. He has a rivalry with Rask from the 2013 playoffs.
