Id take a passable PP right now lol We are not even close to that

Tampa Bay has a dominant power play, but little to no depth outside of their stars.

Boston has one of the deepest forward groups in the league, but a basement power play.

If Boston's power play could improve to the 18-20% range, they'd be by far the best team in the league because they already have dominant 5-on-5 play, penalty killing, and are incredibly clutch.

I hope the people who say it's not necessary to have a dominate power play watch this game closely.

you called?

Is that because a regular season game early in the season is more important than game 7 of the ECF? How did the 1-3-1's dominant PP fare in that game?

Oh, that reminds me...to the 500-600 folks who will be in attendance tomorrow night - Our PP sux. Deal with it. Do NOT boo our PP!

Hopfully the Bs will be able to get a few goals on Sat. 3 goals (albeit in wins) in the last 2 games has me a little nervous about production... Think Julien will keep the lines juggled tomorrow (ie: Horton-Krejci-Seguin)?

If I could quadruple bold that last statement I would. Unless you're totally drunk or can plead insanity, booing the PP is unforgivable. Nobody suffers its ineptitude as much as the players themselves, and that's precisely what fuels the vicious circle. As Artemis stated, the problem's between their ears. Well I'm preaching to the choir here. Wish the sentiment could be relayed to the "shoot the puck!" yahoos.

Really hoping to see Seguin with Lucic and Krejci again. Do we think Claude will go right to that line? or with Marchand (hopefully) back, we'll see Seguin staying put?

I am hoping with or without the return of Marchand that Julien leaves Seguin with Krejci-at least for the time being.

Honestly at this point, I'd stop working on the PP at practice. When the B's get a PP during the game, I'd have Claude ask for 5 volunteers for each PP shift. Just throw them out there and let them have a go at it. Even Shawn if he wanted a shot. The only recommendation I'd have would be to do your best not to give up a shorty.

That's actually an excellent idea. They should approach it like it's pond hockey, not the bloody Bolshoi Ballet or the design of the CERN particle accelerator.

That or just tell them to pretend they're the team down a man.

any chance khudobin starts this game? is there any word? it would make more sense than him playing against buffalo

Ehh, Buffalo is 14th in the conference and they've played 11 games. Tampa is 3rd.

Hopefully they can't count on Vanek for 5 points again, and the defense will actually show up. That game was just a mess.

buffalo is still a point out of a playoff spot, they are a division rival, and tuukka probably wants some revenge. just my thought.

Like everyone else I hope Seguin stays with the top line I like Horton with Marchand and Bergeron. Marchand usually is a trouble starter and having Horton on his line is good.

No MBTA today. I know I won't be heading in for the game....be smart/safe, people, even if the driving ban is lifted.

 ain't that the truth?! Conjuring images of Chara in a tutu...

Anyways, as Pie says, our PP sucks, deal with it. (Oops, didn't realize he'd already scolded.)

Is the other Pie back tonight?

Nice job on the GDT, :bruinsiscuit!

I think this game may get postponed listening to MEMA now on Channel 5. Travel is still banned and the MBTA is shut down for today.

Agreed. The state is laying on the pressure to postpone.

The selfish person in me wants them to play in front of a few hundred like the Devils did, just to see what it would be like. But obviously, the safest decision needs to be made.

Will this effect getting to Buffalo for tomorrow?
