Trenin and a 2nd for Coyle.

Not a great offer, but sure beats that crap one from the Hawks. Coyle sure looks off this year, but he has a tendency to disappear for lengths of time. Hard to figure out why.

I feel the BOS-MTL rivalry has really taken a step back (to my great displeasure), but I don't think we're on trading terms yet. Am I outdated with this impression?
Otherwise I think MTL would make a lot of futures-oriented assets available for McAvoy or to a lesser degree, Carlo.

I would think Buffalo could back a wagon of prospects and picks up to the Bruins door if that's what the B's were looking for. I know the rumbling is that Adams wants a forward, but it would be kinda hard to ignore Brandon Carlo on that list and not think he'd be an excellent pick up.

Lysell without Rosen is money down the drain. :sarcasm:

It's obviously too early for this thread. It was a flawed team in the running for the President's Trophy last year. DeBrusk to Lindholm and Gryz to Zadorov and Ullmark to Korpisalo shouldn't have turned them into a bottom 5 team.

They have tried line shuffling and making some Providence callups.

Next is either fire the coach or make a hockey trade of non-AHL fodder roster player to shake up the roster.

For that piece, you are looking at names like Coyle, Zacha, Carlo, Geekie and Frederic.

Bruins need an injection of speed/skill at the cost of some size and two-way play.

I suspect Frederic is the most likely to get moved.

If Chytil is out Rangers could use some center help but it would have to be a cheaper contract if Chytil comes back. Frédéric could be an option i guess depending on the cost. Doesnt look like he has been great this year so can't imagine it would be too much.

Coyle looks to be off to a rough start statistically, but if the wheels haven’t fallen off there, I’d go for him too.

I get it that you are probably still salty about 2011, but come on man. That's just silly and you know it.
Lol?

Tell me the v value of them then.

Carlo - 6 concussions, received another one. Is more of a bottom pair guy now than a top 4 one. Injury history makes him high risk.

Geekie - about a 3rd rounder? Not good on faceoffs. Doesn’t PK.

Coyle - turns 33 soon, has lost a step, $5.25M contract.

Marchand - not going anywhere.

Zacha - With his current struggles, probably gets you a B tier prospect and a 2nd.

Frederic - 3rd rounder or an equivalent trade of a struggling forward if a team needs some size.

The rest are 4th liners, immoveable (Lindholm, Zadorov, Marchand), or no way to move right now in season (Pastrnak, McAvoy, Swayman).

Lohrei and Hampus can probably fetch pretty good returns.

I should bring this thread to the canucks forum for attention. there are those there that still laments not ponying up on Zadorov and Lindholm. To be fiar, Debrusk had a rocky start also, and Forbort cannot stay healthy.

So I'm not with you at all on Carlo, Coyle, Zacha or Frederic. The rest, fine.

Coyle and Zacha are coming off 60 point seasons. The whole team is a mess, but they haven't lost a step or anything.

Frederic has 3 fewer 5 on 5 goals than Brock Boeser over the last two seasons. Yes, he is struggling this season. But, big bodies that can score from the 3rd line at 5 on 5 at a high level always have value.

And yes, Carlo like the rest of the Bruins team has struggled this year. But calling him bottom pairing? Come on now.
