And that's where you see you can't take the analytics like universal truth.

He's putting up points. He's been very good offensively.

But on the other end he's been out for a ton of shots and chances against which is abnormal for him.

At this rate the club is a couple of wins away from trading their 2018 1st rounder for a rental.

"James Neal c'mon on down. Your the next contestant in a long line of asset mismanagement blunders!"
Hush yo mouth lol.
Well Gorton didn't fall for temptation number one in trading skjei for Duchene. Gotta have faith he won't trade our first this upcoming draft.

Rather get Evander Kane, would make an excellent linemate for Hayes imo

Yes?

We controlled play in the first, and, as expected, turtled and got outplayed and outshot in the 2nd and 3rd

I care far less about shots than the fact that there were half a dozen instances of all 10 skaters being within about 10 feet off the net, battling for a loose puck.
Today, all of those stayed out. On a less lucky day, 2 of them take a bad bounce and end up in our net.

We were outshot, but I don't care about shots?

I know you're mostly joking, but I honestly think there is zero chance Gorton trades the 2018 first rounder, not even if we're somehow major cup contenders by the deadline. The only way I could possibly see him moving it is if he's acquiring a young top 6 center with term.

I saw them get at least two shifts within the last 5 minutes of the game. Idk, I would think us having virtually no PP time and having to kill 5 penalties skewed the time on ice for KZB.

At the end of the game, the Fast line and the Nash line rotate for like the last 3-4 minutes, and he puts Zibanejad at center on the Fast line. I understand the thought process, I just don't agree with it. Kreider and Buchnevich have earned the right to play at the end of the game instead of Fast and Grabner, we'll probably have a better chance to score the next goal with them out there.

Like really ? No call on holding Zib stick near the end of the game ? I don' get it.
That was a ridiculous no call. But you know, Boston was trailing with 2 minutes left in the game so the ref was thinking about that and game management and what not. Stupid instance of the ref letting the time the incident occurred dictate his call/non-call instead of the infraction itself. NHL refs baby!

Even Skjei is slowly becoming respectable.

There's no many players I have an issue with at this point. Zuccarello could be better but he always gets it going.

Caring less about one thing than another thing =/= not caring about it

I don't expect them to dominate 60 minutes. I expect them to not spend long stretches at a time pinned in their own zone, looking lost. Especially against a team missing half it's NHL roster.

No team is ever gonna completely shut down their opposition, but you can always hope to do a better job of it. I'm glad you think everything is great, and I'm happy we won, but I'd rather the team address flaws than ignore them.
