Really happy to see such a convincing with for Florida. A win is a win but the scoreline will give them some fresh confidence for the rest of the series. I think Boston will win, but Florida will be more than respectable as an opponent. I hope this goes 7

Panthers are a dangerous team to let into a series. They have absolutely no expectations on them and Boston is coming off of a near perfect season.

Not just the score but scoring chances were way in favor of FLA. A fluke win is one thing but FLA ran the play all night long. Really surprising.

They're faster and more physical than Boston. That intensity is tough to deal with after they cruised through the regular season.

That was gross. Not going to win many games giving the puck away like they did all night.
Florida has home-ice advantage now. Bruins gotta take at least one in Florida.
Hopefully Bergeron plays and hopefully they put Gryz back in since they are getting killed at trying to break the puck out of their own end and that’s something he’s good at.

I mean if Florida wins the next 3 Boston will be eliminated so yes, that is trouble.
As I pointed out before, this series is not as lopsided as the majority of people seem to think.

I called it offline before the playoofs started that the Bruins worry me a bit because they faced no adversity in the regular season, everything went how they wanted it to.
When you first adversity occurs 7 months into the season it can lead to a bad week, and a bad week is the end of your playoffs.
I didn't think it would happen in the first round (and Boston will likely push back hard) but people coronating them have probably been premature.

Bruins are done after losing game 2 eh? Unbelievable the crap I'm reading here. If your ever gonna have a dud performance that's the game I want in a series. Bruins will adjust take that to the bank.

I could see the Bruins losing the next one as well as they continue to recover from the Norovirus that ran through the team, then come out of the gates on fire game 4.
I don’t know that Bergeron will recover for this series which is a huge loss, especially with Krejci still clearly being hurt.
Still, this lineup is too talented to be one and done, and I expect some resiliency.
Biggest problem strategy wise IMO is that the Panthers are doing an excellent job denying entries. I think if you’re Jim Montgomery you start letting your horses like Zacha, Hall, and Pasta skate the puck in and take some chances rather than constant dump and chase which straight up isn’t working.
