EDIT: NTC in the final 2 years of the deal when he'll be 28/29 so I'm not concerned.

I usually ignore you, but this annoys the crap out of me.

Over the past three seasons, at even strength, Krug is 21st amongst all NHL D in 5 on 5 points. Thats Yandle, Hamilton, Leddy territory.

This past season, his first playing true top 4 minutes, Krug equaled or was better than Yandle, Barrie, Hamilton, Leddy, Reilly, Keith, Doughty in 5 on 5 points.

He scored 50% more 5 on 5 points than Vatanen.

Shoulder injury that he played through. Averaged 13 a year his first 2 seasons. Took a big step back last season but it is reasonable to assume he'll be back to double digits with a healthy twig next season.

Also doesn't play much with Chara as they are both LHD and Claude is usually pretty strict about his D Pairs.

Why are you concerned with this? Was there some sort of competition with Vatanen or the Ducks? Krug was expected to get around $5 per, he got 5.25 + helped some ducks fans self esteem too. We are all winners. Let it go.

His shoulder was hurt all year, took the zip off his shot. He only shot 1% (off from his normal 7-8%). He will be back to normal next season.

Had a great shot he could't use unfortunately. He immediately got shoulder surgery at the end of the reg season.

Im not a fan of either team but i would take Vatanen over Krug every day. Better overall imo and he is RH. Krug is a very solid top 4, i would just prefer Vatanen.

He was in such a drought gor a while, was getting a ton of chances just could not buy a goal. I didn't know about his shoulder but I'm expecting 10-15 this year with 35-40 assists.
