More than Vatanen. Yeesh. Luckily Krug is a different kind of player from Lindholm. Wouldn't like this being a benchmark.

Hell baby
He took less money on his last deal IIRC so I can live with a slight overpay here. They needed to keep him around

No NMC/NTC either so I'm pleased. Not like we wouldn't protect him next year anyways.

EDIT: NTC in the final 2 years of the deal when he'll be 28/29 so I'm not concerned.

Too much for a PP guy

I usually ignore you, but this annoys the crap out of me.

Over the past three seasons, at even strength, Krug is 21st amongst all NHL D in 5 on 5 points. Thats Yandle, Hamilton, Leddy territory.

This past season, his first playing true top 4 minutes, Krug equaled or was better than Yandle, Barrie, Hamilton, Leddy, Reilly, Keith, Doughty in 5 on 5 points.

He scored 50% more 5 on 5 points than Vatanen.

PP specialist my ass.

Surprised he didn't have a few more goals last year. He has a great shot right? I guess Z takes away some of those?

Shoulder injury that he played through. Averaged 13 a year his first 2 seasons. Took a big step back last season but it is reasonable to assume he'll be back to double digits with a healthy twig next season.

Also doesn't play much with Chara as they are both LHD and Claude is usually pretty strict about his D Pairs.

Why are you concerned with this? Was there some sort of competition with Vatanen or the Ducks? Krug was expected to get around $5 per, he got 5.25 + helped some ducks fans self esteem too. We are all winners. Let it go.

Bruins have no leverage. They need him. So they overpayed a little.

One of the only guys with any type of balls on the team. Little high, but he needed to stay.

He was in such a drought gor a while, was getting a ton of chances just could not buy a goal. I didn't know about his shoulder but I'm expecting 10-15 this year with 35-40 assists.
