My daughter-in-law to be just texted me that I have successfully converted her family to Canes fans and that they are all watching the Stanley Cup playoffs nightly and discussing on the group text. Such a proud moment.

Well done, my friend, well done.

ETA: That crowd question doesnt seem like it’s leaving anytime soon, so might as well resign ourselves to it for this postseason lol.

He's going to get paid. You don't have to worry about that.

But it might not be by us. Him pulling a Dougie is a real option. And I don't blame either, secure a huge contract while you can.
You know I don't think so. Maybe I am wrong but I think he wants to play for RBA. He doesn't want to play in Canada I don't think. I think he likes the market, the organization and the coach. If they pay him a competitive offer, what he's worth, what they offered Hamilton (ish) on that first offer, he will probably stay.

If they treat him like shit, yeah he will probably work. I don't think they'll blow it.

This team baffles me. When they play like tonight they can win the cup. They just dont do it all the time. Yay for the win tonight
It's matchups. When we can get the Staal line out against the Bergeron line we shut them down completely and they can't do a f***ing thing. And when that line isn't going they have no chance. On the road they get to dictate the matchups and roll out the Bergeron line against the Aho line, and we've gotten caved in that matchup. Basically we need one of our other lines to take over game 6. And to stay out of the god damn box.

I hope TDA stays, but I almost never blame a player for following the money. We’ll see.

i can understand creating better chances because of match ups. The Canes in Raleigh play with higher energy level. and intensity. Hopefully we arent that mentally weak that we take ourselves out of the game because we dont have favorable matchups.

tampa chokes away game 5. not sure if i should be excited or not

I mean we all know that this is just setting Leafs fans up for ultimate disappointment in game 7. If there's one thing the hockey gods love it's to REALLY f*** with Leaf fans... because it's f***ing hilarious.

This is the most important thing by far. Game 3 we outscored them 5v5. Allowed a bad shorty and I believe 2 PP goals against. Game 4 we were up 2-1 until allowing 2 to their PP and from there we wilted. If we stay out of the box, we are the much better team, even in Boston.

If this wasn't completely obvious before, it should be completely obvious now.

If the tell you who they are believe them….

Bruins when they were down did the following non stop especially in the third:

1) head snapped by all players all over the ice pretending and lying about being high sticked

2) fell down constantly at the first hint of contact by a canes player… it was the most blatant diving I’ve seen since early 2000s Florida Pamthers who had a well deserved reputation around the league for diving and were called for it a lot, but still not enough to make them stop…

3) Bruins players grabbed every Canes stick they could get their hands on and committed holding the stick penalties and then also tried to fall down or otherwise sell a hook or a hold or whatever…

Bruins were beyond pathetic in how slimy they were playing trying to cheat their way to calls or lie and sell calls to the refs to try to get penalty calls….

if they play 5 on 5 they can’t hang in games like tonight so they have to cheat to try to alter the course of the game…. Glad to see one team play the game with honor….. and it wasn’t the Bruins….

the calls they did get tonight were beyond ticky tacky…. The ridiculous high stick on JK…. Refs let a much worse call go when Aho had the butt end of a stick oriposely slammed hard into his face last game…The call on TDA was laughable compared to similar play of others all night.. the one handed slash on Nino was weak sauce…. The difference in game tonight versus last 2? Refs didn’t gift Bruins with half a dozen extra freebie power plays while ignoring the exact same penalties the Bruins were committing against Canes players…. Canes let it affect their game how it was being called and tonight they didn’t get caught up in that… they did what they did in games 1 and 2 and put their heads down and brought the skating and brought the physical play..l they hit them until the Bruins shied away repeatedly…. They need to do the same thing in Boston and they need to ignore the pathetic disparity of calls I fully expect to see next game in Boston….

good game for our guys…. One more like that please to send these guys packing…

I really really don't want Steve Dangle to have a heart attack or stroke behind the Leafs, but if Tampa comes back to win in 7, I will be extremely concerned for his safety.
