There is still games where he coasts. 3 times he went pointless for 3 straight games and during the 13 game losing streak he had like 2 points out of the last 5 games of the streak tough numbers when you are relied upon to lead the team in scoring.

The Sabres have a -15 point differential, the Bruins have a -25 point differential, the Pens have a -40 (!!!) point differential.

I don't want to jinx it, but the Bruins reign of terror might finally be over. They might actually be forced to do some sort of rebuild, which I haven't seen in my adult hockey-watching life. They've made the playoffs 15 of the last 17 seasons (and the two seasons they missed they were the first team out with 93 and 96 points). For the majority of that run they had Bergeron, Chara, Marchand, Krejci and Rask. For the second half of the run they've had Pastrnak. Only Marchand and Pastrnak remain. Marchand probably only has a year or two left and doesn't quite have the jump he used to.

Boston sports fans have been spoiled enough, hopefully they follow the Pats and join the Sabres in the basement in the near future.
