Aho is playing injured. He's dropped off a cliff recently. Tonight probably didn't help.
For a game I knew they'd lose, that still managed to be as infuriating as possible.
I had no ill will to Tampa before this game but now I hope they get f***ed in the ass in the playoffs. What a joke

I get it. But we let them beat us up and steal our lunch money. We showed them too much respect, and tried to beat them at their game, instead of getting to ours and pushing them around a little.

I'm not entirely sure why I even bother coming on after a loss. As I've said before, I'm glad this team had handled any adversity better than this board usually does.

Well McElhinney well almost certainly be playing in the remaining back to backs, so I'd probably get comfortable with that.

Im not mad that we lost. I'm mad that we got clowned in the 3rd by a team that played last night and had to travel. We had the fresher legs and they flat out punked us late when we should have had the advantage.
The lack of energy in the 3rd is concerning.

Playing back to back isn't nearly the big deal you're making it. Pretty certain the Canes have a great record back to back in the second game.

Yea, I'm pissed at the lack of effort in the 3rd and how that game ended...compounded by the absolutely piss poor reffing. But I think a lot just forget how good Tampa is, it's pretty historic, you can't let your foot off the gas for a second or they can make you pay. We let them take the game to us, we backed off because we got scared, and it cost us. I obviously was hoping for a win, but pretty well also expected a loss. We fought hard for 2 periods and let off. As long as we come back hungry in the next game, you just gotta move on past a game like that...don't let it spiral.
It's funny too how Mrazek started off the season shakey and inconsistent, McBackup came in and stole the show. Since about February, Mrazek has been confident and dialed in, CMac has looked like an old goalie wearing down...not as consistent or quick. Re-sign Mr Azek, find another potential backup, and let Ned get some spot starts to see if he's ready for more in the future.

boys need to do what they’ve done all season and rest/refocus tomorrow so they can get 4 points from two teams below us to finish this home stand

Tampa is unbelievably loaded. They're smashing records left and right. It sucks to lose but is understandable. Just that 3rd period is still a huge letdown.
They have a guy on their roster who has scored 60 goals in a season once and he might only be their 4th or 5th best player.
