Oof. Pass.We would need 50% retained on Myers, Poolman, and Pearson.
Can’t afford that, full Cap or bustWe would need 50% retained on Myers, Poolman, and Pearson.

Horvat wouldn't be our 3rd leading scorer because he wouldn't have had the same opportunities the Canucks give him on the Leafs. He's not more talented than Matthews-Tavares, and he's not more offensively gifted than Nylander or Marner. He'd be on the 2nd powerplay unit automatically.
Horvat is a defensively responsible top 6 C that is good for 50-60 points a year. Having a Kadri like career year won't change that. The Leafs would either use him to anchor their 3rd line or bump him up into a top 6 role when more offence is needed. Tavares is 60% on faceoffs the last 2 years, Horvat is at 57%, he wouldn't move Tavares to the wing at all.
In the playoffs when Matthews-Nylander and JT-Marner are preoccupied with the top 6 lines of the Bruins or Bolts they need a top 6 player on the bottom 6 to leverage those opportunities.
Not that any of this is serious at this point but it’s a maximum of 3 players not 2.Also can't legally do that you can only retain on 2 players at any given time

It's 3 slots, and you can only retain on the same player twice, through two different teams. Are you sure? I'm almost positive it's 2
It’s 3. No more than twice on the same player and no more than 15% of the overall salary cap.Are you sure? I'm almost positive it's 2
Atrocious defensively? He’s not William Nylander.Boeser is slow, atrocious defensively and all he brings is a shot for PP2. Even if you move Nylander to LW so you can force Boeser onto RW2, he'd be a net negative for the line given how much more often and longer they'd need to play in their own end.
You mean the guy with half the goals against in twice as many minutes? It's cool that Boeser is the only Canuck forward that knows where the D-zone is, just a shame it takes him half the first period to skate there.Atrocious defensively? He’s not William Nylander.
Not sure what this nonsensical rambling is. If the Leafs forwards knew where the defensive zone was, maybe they wouldn’t become fecal matter on ice when the playoffs begin. You mean the guy with half the goals against in twice as many minutes? Not sure how any team wants a one time 29 goalscorer who has three years left at 6.5
This guy gets PP time, top line minutes, he gets his touches and is still only puts up 45-55 points. Leafs will already have a guy who can do that named Kerfoot at 3.5
I get that the Nucks are having a tank year and trying to trim the fat but these threads of Schenn for a 1st and Boeser to the Leafs. These are pure fantasy.
Kerfoot's last full season, 51 points.Kerfoot has 2 goals one of which was on Empty net.
Kerfoot cannot do that

lol “metrics”Certainly right, Boeser is much worse in terms of goals against, and possession, and just about every other metric one could bring up....
Personally I've actually always had a soft spot for Boeser, but no need to set him up for a difficult comparison
