Would either team consider this swap?
St Louis gets a player they can either keep to replace Buch or a UFA-to-be thats likely easier to trade tomorrow than any other Buch trade will for them.
Vancouver gets a player signed to the deal Boeser is likely asking for anyways but changes the core. Even with Brock outhitting Buch I still feel he'd bring a bunch of things that Boeser is not to the Canucks lineup. If the intention is to push for the playoffs Buch makes more sense than the picks and prospects a deadline UFA Boeser deal likely returns.
And if both teams would consider this, is there a Pius Suter ufa-to-be for Schenn swap also to be had, albeit now Vancouver adds a big sweetener with the same premise for St Louis. Keep the UFA if he fits or its easier to deal Suter than Schenn and you make up the value on the VAN ++ side.
Boeser, Suter, 1st, 2nd
