So not cool to hear. But I know he is getting the best treatment possible. He is as much a part of my collective LA Kings memory as any player in Kings history from my first game in the 1972/73 season to now. From Crazy Kozak to The Kopi's Krazy Contract! I've grown from fan to fanatic alongside his honest calling of the games.
All my families prayers and thoughts are aimed at Bob and his family as well as this extended family of us who have enjoyed his play by play and endearing personality through the hard, lean years right on thru the two Cups! Having Bob call the games has been like driving a luxury car and not even having to pay for gas!
Godspeed Bob, get well and come back to us better than ever!

Slashin

"Upper Body Injury"... That's a good one.

Last time I felt this way was with Chick. Hopefully, this one turns out far, far better.

We are indeed spoiled. Vin, Chick, Bob. They just don't make 'em like that anymore.

I'm sure some of you guys/gals have crossed paths with Bob over the years and I myself had the pleasure to meet him a few years ago when the Kings were in Buffalo.

We were staying at the same hotel as the Kings and I had a chance to talk to Bob for a bit. Just a really fantastic person.

Get well soon.

......and Dick Enberg doing the Rams. Very lucky, indeed.

Get well, Bob.

Sad about Bob.. But hopefully he can make a speedy and quick recovery.

Nick Nickson is an absolute stud of a broadcaster though. A hall of famer. Listening to him on the radio over the years, he's one of the better broadcasters around I think, in any sport. So in that respect, going to be exciting to see how he translates to television. He's gonna be great I think.

I don't know if I am ready to hear a string of games without Bob. I remember when he had shingles and Foxy tried to do both color and play by play. I loved it, but knew Bob was coming back soon. I'm not ready for when Bob officially retires. I grew up with nickson too, but it will never be the same without Bob.

might have to ween the kings fans off him as he gets closer to retirement.

I only attended a few Kings' games at the Forum (broke all the time in those days), but I crossed paths with Bob Miller in there once. Either the broadcast booth was right in among the seats, or he had to walk up the aisle to get to the booth, I don't remember. Anyway, we came face to face in the aisle and I said, "Hi Bob! Love listening to you call the games. Great work!" And he said, "That's nice of you to say so; I really appreciate it," and he really did seem to appreciate it.

Also, he was tall!

I was born in 72' in time for the Miller era.
Grew up and have been lucky to have had the pleasure of Bob announcing the Kings through the years. The absolute best class act both personally and professionally.
My brother worked for the Kings for a few seasons in the 80's and I met Bob a number of times, just a great guy and has excellent stories and jokes!
All the best for a speedy recovery.
Been enjoying Nick since he joined in 80'. Another great guy and class act. Was kinda bummed when he was moved to radio since him and Bob were great together.
Was also bummed with Jim in the beginning, seemed like every other word out of him was "Tweeners", but he has grown into a great analyst, IMO.
The last game against the Avs, Rosen filled in for Nick who was attending to family matters. I now know it was for the passing of his father(heart goes out to your loss, Nick).
Rosen did a decent job, better than I thought he would. Anybody following either Bob or Nick has big shoes to fill and when you have been hearing the same voices for, at least for me, all of or most of your life, any change is just shocking.
All the best to both Bob and Nick.
