If I was Hughe and trading up or Michkov were not viable options, i would trade down and see if i can acquire pick 8th and 9th.

Benson and Reinbacher
Yea thats a haul tbh

*half the comments before this list:
WHY WOULD WE REACH FOR A 3rd LINE PLUG LIKE LEONARD AT 5?????!!!!!
The other half: Leonard is part of the obvious 5! Hes a good pick!

Bob macks list: not a single top 5 vote for anyone outside the top 5.

Sale all the way down to 24...

makes the Florida playoff run all the more infuriating. Picking him up with a late teens/early 20's pick would've been sweet

People talk about Tkachuk as a comparable for Leonard. But a big part of the Tkachuk brothers's games are their size.

I wonder if a taller Brad Marchand won't turn out to be a comparable?

I think the closest comparable I can come up with is if you gave TJ Oshie the rush game of a Marchand.

I'd take a top 6 over a top 5 littered in red flags any day...but that's just me.

I think he is probably more Bennett/Hyman/Konecny in terms of physicality...but more skilled

seems like pretty much the same consensus list that every1 else has (for the top 10), which worries me

starting to smell more and more like Reinbacher/Leonard/Dvorsky at 5

I'd rather not use a top 5 pick on those players, unless the extra physicality propels him to another level.

Very interesting about Dvorsky... at least a few scouts seems to think he is in the 2nd (after bedard) tier.
I was very reluctant but the U18s made me feel way more comfortable if we take him. I still think Leonard>Dvorsky at 5 assuming the top 4 goes as expected

I do like Leonard, Reinbacher, Dvorsky & Benson. They are all solid prospects with a good mix of different attributes.

If we drafted one of them I wouldn't hate it but I will be a little disappointed if we don't land one of the guys in Bob's top 5.
