Keep Horvat.
Hughes stated he didn't wanted to trade for that type of player.
A 30 yo guy with a huge contract running until 2031.
Habs aren't in their window, they don't need a guy that's gonna be a quick fix but will alter the team chances of winning it all by being a contract anchor, when the team will REALLY be in its window.
Its gonna be a guy who's in his prime or an older stop gap guy on a short deal, while our young ones develop.
Horvat isn’t really a guy who depends on speed to thrive. He will likely age well. The cap is going up a lot over the next few years 8.5 for a 1B type of center that brings leadership, and can play in all situations is not a ton of money. I think adding Horvat to the Habs makes them a lock for the playoffs.
The only way the isles should move him is if the new GM is committed to a rebuild, personally I think that is what is needed but who knows what happens.
