I mean I just saw with my own two eyes what happens when there's huge demand for a top-6 center with limited supply.

Brock Nelson returned Ritchie and a first round pick.

Market is still pretty tight for fop-6 centers, so I would expect minimum a Michael Hage type prospect to be the main piece in the return or I'd rather just hold onto Horvat for an acceptable offer in the future from another team.

That’s was a huge return on that deal, Avs would be in a different win now position to make that trade than Montreal so maybe not a fit

Not with the pieces Habs fans have been throwing into trades.

I would keep Lee until the deadline then move accordingly. JGP however move over the summer for futures and let someone younger fill his role.

you are correct, but the offers that are coming in are not close.

Hughes stated he didn't wanted to trade for that type of player.

A 30 yo guy with a huge contract running until 2031.

Habs aren't in their window, they don't need a guy that's gonna be a quick fix but will alter the team chances of winning it all by being a contract anchor, when the team will REALLY be in its window.

Its gonna be a guy who's in his prime or an older stop gap guy on a short deal, while our young ones develop.

I'd really, really like Bo with the Habs but it makes no sense for the Islanders to trade him, they're not rebuilding.

He'd be a perfect C for Demidov.
