Way, way too many 3 on 2s that period. We didn't have a forward close enough to pick him up. Miller's mistake there way to engage that guy on a 3 on 2. Don't know who he expected to get that guy

Looked to me like miller was beat and decided to stay with Duhaime to keep him from rushing right on net. That part worked, but yeah that left an open lane for Midflestat with slowwwwww backchecking.

Incredibly difficult to win in Colorado. Rangers not playing bad and could be worse going into the 3rd down 1 goal...especially without Gus and Trouba (to a lesser extent). Overall good low scoring game so far.

We're playing fine but our offense is way too easy to shutdown by good teams.

The problem is if this team can get shutdown by an average defense like the Avs who can they not get shutdown by?

Colorado in particular is not a great matchup when it comes to the Rangers trying to generate offense. I don’t think that would necessarily be the case against other playoff teams who aren’t as quick.

It's the nhl, you can't defend 2 guys and try and stop a cross crease pass by yourself. The forwards caused that one, they were coasting their way into our end, games are won and lost on effort and there was none by any of our forwards on that.

i mean , they're not playing great. Offense is nowhere to be found. Playing conservatively is fine but the top 2 lines doing very little.
