Putting Kulikov back in the lineup may have been even more costly. He got caved so hard in Game 1 and pretty sure he was on the ice for 4 of the Blues goals, not to mention knocking Joel Eriksson Ek out with friendly fire which the Blues capitalized on during his absence.

I lost a fair amount of respect for the team after watching their post game pressers last night. Straight up sore losers, and a complete 180 from how our team reacts after losing a game/series.

That's hilarious. The four games the Blues weren't icing an AHL defense Minnesota was barely competitive. They had two forwards show up in the series and literally nobody else. No defensemen, neither goalie and not the coaching staff. They lost because they were regular season puffery driven by so much time and space for one elite ultracompetitive player and when that vanished it was over for them. They are a long way away

Absolutely agreed. I never quite understood the hype with them, and I thought that was solely based off of us dominating them in the regular season. Kaprizov is amazing, but man, nobody else really showed up. So much for them having just as much depth as us.

I think with message boards, and especially ones this size, they struggle with high post counts. Every post is more than just what you wrote. There’s all the other information that goes into identifying the author and time etc. I don’t know how much merging posts helps but it’s clearly a problem because the mods lock threads at a certain post count and start a new one.

There is plenty to complain about though. I can’t believe every time I load a thread it takes me to the latest unread post then loads an ad that for some reason completely reformats every post forcing me to close the ad to get everything back to normal.

This series ended when Leddy beat Cam Talbot in the 1st period last night. That was hands down the worst goal of the series and it came while Minnesota was making a pretty strong push. He wasn't even remotely on his correct angle and because of that allowed a D man to beat him clean short side on a 1 on 3. Words can't fully capture just how far off his angle he was. So I drew 2 lines from the puck to each post. Proper positioning would put Talbot in the middle of the 2 lines. But instead, the majority of his body is outside the lines:

And it isn't like Leddy's shot was the result of a pass that got the play moving laterally or even a hard lateral cut across the middle by Leddy. Leddy took exactly 1 stride from the time he crossed the red line to the time he took the shot. He was slowly coming straight down the middle, crossed over to got to his left, drifted that way and then took the shot. No excuse to be off your angle that bad.

He should have been gone after that goal. That's a shot you would expect an EBUG to stop. In an elimination game, you have to recognize that your goalie doesn't have it when his fundamentals are that terrible.

How he never got the hook is beyond me. Schenn rang the crossbar on him in the 2nd after beating him clean on the glove side. Goal #2 was a good goal, but Talbot didn't come close to it. The rebound and subsequent slide out of his net on goal #3 was brutal. Easily the worst goaltending performance of the series for either team, he looked brutally uncomfortable all game and with 26 minutes left they're down 3-0 on 16 shots against. I don't know if I've ever seen a more clear, "pack it in boys, our season's over" decision in a playoff game than leaving him in after that.

It makes no sense to merge posts that are unrelated. It’s makes the post confusing. I’ve a,ready had multiple instances where the person I was responding to thought I meant something different because something was drawn into the quote that wasn’t there originally. No other forum I use has this “feature” nor has trouble with “post counts”. If a thread needs to res-wan at a certain post count, then automate THAT process.

If they really want to lower post counts, just bring in more pop up ads and pretty soon there will be very low numbers.

Losing Eriksson Ek for a stretch was very not good for them. He’s my favorite player on the Wild.

Fair enough, I don’t post enough to have things merge, but isn’t there a message stating it merged?
