That’s a f***ing dogshit loss.

Dumbass team will make the playoffs just because the Coyotes suck.

If you’re giving up 4 against such a terrible forward group, you’re going to have a tough time stopping Vegas or Colorado. These games are just tune ups for the playoffs, and it’s encouraging to see them sleepwalk their way to 5 out of 6 points in Minnesota, but you have a two goal lead in the third you have to win.

You also have to give Minnesota credit. Several of their goals these past 2 games have been outstanding including Sturm's tip in. In a 7 game series, we would beat them in 5 or 6 games.

5 out of 6 points in Minnesota, I'll take that.

The boys got exactly what they deserved tonight, every skater on this team owes Binnington an apology for that 3rd period. Learn the lesson and move on from this one.
did the same thing to Husso in the 3rd period of his start as well... so now it's the 3rd, not the 2nd that's hard lol

but... I'll bet Minny is very happy to see STL leave town..

A VERY disappointing loss. They were up by 2 fairly late in The 3rd, and then a few lax plays in which they gave up the puck when they had lots of chance to keep possession, and then a freak lucky tip-in goal on a shot going WAY wide, and then they lost confidence, and for the rest of the period they couldn't move the puck keeping possession for more than 2 seconds - all they could do was attempt to ice the puck. I still think that concentrating on keeping control of the puck, even in your own zone, is better than panicking, and wildly flailing at the puck always trying to clear the zone, when that almost always ends up with them losing the puck with it staying inside the zone, and when it gets out successfully, it mostly goes for icing (which leaves the tired defenders on the ice while the opposition gets to change lines). And even when the puck is cleared but DOESN'T go for icing, the other team grabs it and skates it quickly back into your zone, and has chances to score. Playing calmly, and keeping possession and skating with it until you can pass safely is always better than giving up possession automatically.

Just skimmed this thread. Tough crowd. The Blues played a pretty good game with a short-handed D and Tarasenko out. If Schwartz’ empty net shot was a couple inches to the left it’s 2 points and move on, against a team solidly in the playoffs who has been playing pretty well lately until they started having to play the Blues.

The Blues aren’t going to win every game. They’re comfortably in a playoff slot with even sub-.500 play at the end. They should be tuning up now and resting guys when necessary, soon. Reading this board it sounds like people demanding perfection from a team that is showing a tremendous improvement over the past month. Why is it so hard to just celebrate the high points and enjoy the playoff clinching moment approaching?

I feel the same. Of course it's always frustrating to blow a lead late, but we've also done the same to the Wild and other teams as well. Minnesota refused to let us win 3 in a row on their home ice and as Moose said, it took a perfect deflection to get them in a position to tie it. Also, Schwartz could have buried it but we didn't get the late breaks and the Wild did. Hopefully this will be the wake up call they need to not cough up leads more often going forward, but sometimes you have to tip your cap to the other team.

....or we know they aren’t good enough to constantly cough up games they were in control of.

I guess it doesn’t really matter what number lines we consider them because they’re both playing well.

I’m liking Blais on that line though. Obviously would be nice to see Tarasenko continue to improve but man, we really don’t seem to miss him much when he’s out.
We have been better without Tarasenko this season.

You wouldn't think it given how many people think the team is falling ass backwards into the playoffs, but we're 6-3-1 in our last 10. Not that that's a great record or anything, but if people think we're going to be able to go undefeated until the playoffs, that's silly
