I don't think Hoffman has ever been coached to work like the Blues. On every team he's been on they seem to use him as a sniper and that's it. I don't know. Maybe he has been more than that, but I don't recall him being strong on the boards. It may take time to learn this...or he just wants to get traded to a team where this isn't demanded of him.
