Half-Assed GDT: Blues vs Wild Late GDT GDT

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

Hofer just stay in your net please…

Have we been outplayed since the 4 nations tourney by anybody?

No

Also, I’ve had to watch this game on the Wild’s feed, and for the first time in awhile, I’m genuinely enjoying another team’s commentary. They’ve been very complimentary on the Blues play tonight, and it seems as if there’s a lack of super homer-ism that you get from a lot of other teams.

Bolduc off the post….so confusing why put Bolduc on PP1 with Thomas but not Line 1

I think just cause it would wear him down.

You’d maybe guess the “second year slump” that tends to come for most skaters is the result of an increase in workload.

Year 1 you’re able to spend a lot every shift and since you’re getting few shifts the coach can more easily pick opportune times for them. You get to use your primary skills a lot. Easy to reward you with power play time without blowing up a conditioning plan.

Once you’re in the top 6 you can’t just go full speed nonstop, have to sometimes spend a lot of energy recovering from opponents attacks - you won’t necessarily have the same opportunities to iterate with your primary skillset.

Awesome answer and that all tracks….would just like to see Bolduc get extended time with Thomas to actually get some chemistry going but your answer shows there is more to consider when it comes to rookies.
