Two thoughts:
- He was bound to cool off a bit.
- He’s a lot more successful as a complimentary player. Add back a healthy Schwartz, Thomas and Bozak and suddenly teams will be losing Kyrou again. Or a game-primed Tarasenko for that matter.

I’ve never been a fan of our breakout; it doesn’t utilize our defensemen well and the forwards just sit high in the neutral zone — which is as far as the puck usually gets.

The criticism on Kyrou just makes me shake my head: he’s going to make mistakes like all young players do — especially when the defensive coverage gets muddy. He’s dangerous every single night and is excellent on the breakout. He plays hard on the forecheck and has a very active stick. He’s playing like he was drafted in the top-10, and the fact that he is usually good on defense gets overlooked. Consistently one of our best players.

We really should have started Binnington as soon as we knew it was Fleury.

The Blues aren’t going to win this game unless they can get some sustained OZ pressure, and that can’t happen if we don’t transition the puck effectively.

Not a good period by The Blues. They were chasing the puck the whole time. They were losing the puck as lot, just like last night, not able to handle The Knights' speed and relentless forecheck. Just like all the last four games, they seem tired and are not doing their own hard hitting forecheck. They lose the puck in their own zone, and IF they somehow get into The Neutral Zone, they lose it there. They're having trouble simply even skating the puck out of the zone . Again, the puck is bouncing off and dribbling off their sticks, and The Knights are jumping on all the loose pucks.
