Mikkola would look good on our bottom pairing. Always like him and his physicality.

i want to see lots of moves at the deadline this year. 3 years of this trash hockey with minimal roster shakeup is enough. get rid of the deadweight and clubhouse cancers.

I’d like to see this on Saturday vs Chicago

Buchnevich-Thomas-Kyrou
Holloway-Schenn-Bolduc
Neighbours-Sundqvist-Joseph
Walker-Faksa-Toropchenko

Bolduc needs to play top 6 at this point, and we know he has good chemistry with Holloway.
Can we flip Holloway and Buchnevich? I’m dying to see a real playmaker like Thomas between the proven chemistry of Holloway and Kyrou.

Last night was a glimpse of the player I think Bolduc could be. It's why I've been banging the drum to get him into the top 6 and playing with skilled linemates. The kid has good size, he can skate well, he has a wicked shot, and he's pretty defensively responsible, especially for a rookie. All he needs is some confidence and I think he could be a force. He's going to make mistakes, and we need to let him make them. I think that he's smart enough to figure it out, but he can't be worried about getting stapled to the bench or banished to the pressbox every time he makes one.

I enjoyed this game. We played the reigning Stanley Cup champs pretty hard. Then we lost right at the end in regulation. I hate cheering to lose, so this outcome is perfect imo.

Couldn't agree more, he needs an actual chance at extended top 6 minutes. It was great Monty put him on the Thomas line but it lasted for all of like 4/5 shifts, he needs to get at least a few games there to see what he can do, hopefully after the deadline we will see just that

I hate watching the Panthers because they play the game the way I wish we could play the game.

This team needs to get tougher in the offseason. We need more sandpaper to our game.

The problem with icing a team right after we blow up the roster is, that team would be BETTER than this one from jump. This team will do a lot of things, but it will not tank.

Kyrou's puck management and defensive effort were fantastic tonight.

Leddy looks rusty.

Bolduc's best game in the NHL?

Great game all around, shame to lose it late again at home like that.
I wish Monty would take the hint, and move Bolduc back into The Top 9 (preferably The Top 6), and allow him to stay there for a decent amount of consecutive games, so he can get used to playing there and with 2 other regular linemates, so he can get comfortable enough that his offensive contributions can become more regular, and he can prove that he's capable of holding down a position there and contributing regularly.

I think that maybe Monty is doing what he can to contribute to a higher draft pick by not icing the best line combos etc. Remember, it's a conspiracy. Derp!

I'm just about 80 years old, and know nothing about American slang after I left there in the early to mid 1970s. What does "derp" mean?
I’m not sure, but I use it anyway. I’m imbuing my own meaning.

EDIT: It means awkward or foolish. Whatevs! For me it means derp. In other words, I’m making fun of myself.

now put that music to a montage for how this team has played the past 3 seasons. that is what it means.

Thanks. This is what I get for not watching modern films or current TV. I bet lots of my Dutch and Danish friends know current American slang from watching American films and US TV shows. Even our resident reindeer herder in Lapland probably does.
