I'm almost positive him and Kyrou both got injured early in the season and then both of them got a hard wall. Kyrou might have been the freshman wall TBH. But it's very uncharacteristic for Schenn to hit a wall that hard for that long.Agree about Schenn... something HAS TO/BETTER BE wrong with him.. he was a shadow of himself...
They beat a team that was a shell of its former self. Not impressed. Hope they get dealt with next round. Out of all the teams in the playoffs, I REALLY hope they don't win. Literally anyone else except that paper tiger over there.
I'm 100% certain Gunner is most likely going to retire. An ACL tear for a player on the wrong side of 30 who was already slowing down with a history of lower body issues. So who has played their last game as a Blue?
I’m thinking:
Hoffman
Sanford
Dunn
Gunnarsson
Maybe Schwartz
I really, really don't want to lose Dunn.So who has played their last game as a Blue?

and the strength in his lower body to shield the puck.. and being able to generate torque on his shotDefinitely explains him being out for lower body issues and him having like 1/2-3/4 of his usual speed.
If I was a betting man.Maybe Barby (XD) and Blais (XD/trade)
will be interesting to see who's been playing thru injuries
Agreed, most of his issues really didn't look shoulder related. So groin makes a lot of sense.and the strength in his lower body to shield the puck.. and being able to generate torque on his shot

Krug to Vancouver for Schmidt+Hoffman

Bozak

Krug - expansion draft
In fairness to the Avs’ fan base, they actually are aware and have acknowledged that they were playing a depleted Blues team. They really wanted to play a healthier Blues, so it would have been more competitive. They beat a team that was a shell of its former self. Not impressed. Hope they get dealt with next round. We need Thomas and Kyrou to take big leaps next year and for Kostin to be a physical force.
I want that little guy with speed and gumption from Arizona...Conor Garland. Can we ship #17 and #12 there for Conor?

I know this because I posted with a few peeps on the Avs’ board yesterday and was well-received.
I have faith that Armstrong can do another re-tool given that it led to Schenn and ROR.I don't hate Hoffman and actually think he played inspired enough in the playoffs that I think he would've done better with a healthier team. I wouldn't mind an extension at the right price, but I don't want something longer than like 3 years max. Schwartz has been meh for about 3 years now, so I really don't know what's wrong. Could just need a change of scenery which is unfortunate because when he's on, he's really good. Gotta fix the problems on defense, mainly assuming Krug is going to be one of your best d-man. Faulk and Parayko can handle heavy duty if healthy, but you gotta have someone who can defend WELL on the left side to give those guys help. We'll be losing one of Dunn, Barbashev, or Sundqvist, so you'll have to look at the bottom 6 and see if you're content with that makeup. We really only had 2 players keeping this team going, so you're going to have to find other solid contributors in this lineup, otherwise you might as well start selling off and getting younger. I have hope Army can retool on the fly, but the game is too fast for this team, in this division especially.
no way they move on from garland
