Caught this on the replay and thought it was a terrific example of tactical hockey leading to a strong points victory even before the Gagner knockout, much like watching a very smart smaller boxer go to work against a less technically gifted one-puncher.
Lots of good stuff to focus on, and you guys have covered all of it, but special shoutouts to KFC, who missed a few more but created an absolute ton, and 55 who I didn't think gave up on a play all night long, and scored an underrated beauty. Apples kept up and made some great holding plays, and all 3 other lines played near the top of their game to seal it. I've said a few times that Perfetti plays like a centre no matter where he lines up, and I think we've seen that this season already. For a kid who's all of 20 years old he plays as complete a game as we've seen for a long time now and once his "wingers" learn to shoot will be racking up the points. Yeah, empty netter -- but for him it's absolutely earned.
Thought Biiig Logan played a way more sold and less chaotic game beside The Rookie Whisperer, and coming back after that stinger showed serious commitment.
Special Whirling Tanev Award to The Swedish Flow, who was everywhere at all times making all kinds of snow-showers and fury signifying a... little bit. Good to have another disrupter in the fold.
Can the Pack of Wolves have returned to howl another day? This game felt way more like the Jets' hockey of yesteryear, when we were actually good, and could wear down a team with speed, cycling, passing and sheer bloodyminded puck possession before delivering the rapier. So nice to see again.
Also, today's post is sponsored by the Number 4. The Jerts' results thus far:

- Sooooo, if my toddler maths are correct, these Jets have won or lost in 5/6 games this season with a winning score of 4. So, 4ward me lads, with intestinal 4titude and high-energy 4-checking, onto 4tune!
