Alright, now we're at Johnson+1st for Shattenkirk. Either Tampa fans really want Shatty or Johnson is another Henrique.
But even then, even though I am disappointed with Oshie's playoff performances, I don't think trading him is the solution.
After Oshie's concussion he even admitted he was still getting his feel for the game back 2nd game in, he still potted 2 goals, I'd almost till give him a pass.
As for our center, I don't see much of krejci, statsny, and now Tyler Johnson. Which one would actually be a dynamic offensive center?
What about something around Shatty for the 2 Schenns. Brayden to fill our center gap and Luke can step up and play Shatty's role (without the obvious offensive production from the backline, but he is a RHD).

Luke Schenn is Polak version 2.0, and Brayden hasn't proven capable of being a second line center. That would be a terrible trade for us.
That much is true. But Luke is a black hole offensively, and frankly he's not that great defensively. He's a third pairing guy.Polak is actually a good skater Luke not so much at all.

Brayden was very good this year as a 2-way player, and he's got tons of potential. He could reach 60-70 points with Tarasenko and Schwartz.
If we're trading Shattenkirk, we better not be trading him for what a player could potentially reach. If he moves it should be for a young center who's already established as a top six scoring option, ideally with some room to grow. Stepan comes to mind as an example.
This is exactly my feelings. Potential be damned, I want a proven commodity. If we're giving up Shattenkirk for a forward, I don't think it's too much to ask that the forward being returned has actually outscored Shattenkirk.
Just gonna throw this out: Any interest in Thornton from the Sharks? I know he's getting up there, but vision doesn't tend to go away. The best passer in the league setting up Tank sounds great to me.
