FWIW St. Louis scouts have been in attendance at the last three, maybe more, Buffalo games, as they were noticed in Buffalo on Saturday, DC on Sunday and now today in Montreal.

Huh, maybe trying to get a really good look at players. It's been reported that Armstrong has been scouting a lot of different teams for quite awhile, so I doubt anything is imminent if anything happens at all.

He's scouting for Canada, the scouts are scouting for the Blues.

It makes sense though, and would explain why he has been all over scouting this season. He's probably doing a little of both, but like all the other times, nothing is imminent, so not much of a story.

Niether rumored guy is very good. I really prefer Cole over both. Sekera is the only guy on Buffalo I would want.

I was about to say the same thing, has to be Sekera. $1.75m for the next 2 seasons and would be a perfect partner for Pietrangelo.

If we can't resign Stewart, Bennett and Despres/Morrow for Stewart could make sense at the draft, but I don't know if Pittsburgh would do it though.

If we are trading with Pitt i would want Sutter and Despres for Stewart it could potentially upgrade our 3rd line center spot and LH defenseman. Even though to me Depres is pretty much equal to Cole so I am not sure how much Hitchcock would trust him to play him.

That too. I think any deal with Pittsburgh won't happen till the draft, and it will be because we can't afford all of our players.

I think Després has a lot more upside than Cole, but I don't think we can really say he is the answer for Pietrangelo yet.

If we would actually play Cole I think people would see he's better then what we've seen so far. If we trade Cole I think we will see a huge step forward in his career.

Regehr and Ott really interest me.

If we are getting Leopold or Sekera then hopefully Russell is going the other way.

Us and Buffalo make pretty solid trading partners so there should be something going on here.

Russell is fine for his price and role. He isn't great, but he is playing significantly better now than at the start of the season.

I really want us to get Sekera though...

No interest in Ott, I don't care if he wins every faceoff between now and the end of time, the rest of his game doesn't improve this team.

Sekera would be perfect. I wonder what we would have to add to Cole to get him though. Talent wise he is a great fit, and his contract is beyond perfect, which is why it is very unlikely to happen.

Sabres fan coming in peace. I like the Blues in the west btw, were my pick to win the conference. Lots of rumors between our two teams, with scouts everywhere. Any interest in something along the lines of Halak + for Miller, Miller can help guide Allen and Elliot can walk in the offseason. Miller moves west and gives you guys a bonafide guy to go far in the playoffs this year.

Do we make it a bigger trade and throw a defenseman in as well, maybe leo?

Miller costs too much with the players we have to resign. Best to keep it simple.

Sekera doesn't really solve what we need. If we get him, Russell has to be going the other way because we would have to move a d-man, and moving Cole for him doesn't really help us. Unless you want to get smaller on the back end, which is up to you but wouldn't be smart.

No interest at all in Miller. It doesn't make sense financially, it doesn't make sense from a team point of view and it is questionable how much of an upgrade he even is over Jaro.

We got overrun by the Kings because they boarded our best player out of the series. Even when Pietrangelo returned, we didn't have the transition game he normally provides. People make too much of this whole size thing, unless they are saying that the Kings are obviously a dynasty in the making because the Blues are a pretty big team in comparison to most.

Sekera is one of Buffalo's most talented defenseman, he occasionally makes bad decisions with his hockey IQ but lots of talent, he also is on an awesome cheap contract so he would cost a lot value wise

I know, I would say the Sabres are my 2nd team if I had one. This is the same answer I get everytime, but I really want to know what his value is in your guys' eyes. I'm sure it will be too rich, I just want to know.
