Last night is exactly the kind of game for which ties should still exist. San Jose probably should have had 5 goals in the 2nd alone, but they're inept and kept wanting to make another pass or kept shooting it wide. For a while we couldn't generate offense if we'd have been 5-on-0. I said to a buddy at about the midway point of the 1st, "we won't see more than 2 goals tonight, if that."
Don't get me wrong, glad to have the 2 points, but that game would have been better served by ending with a 27-round shootout where 49 of the shots taken went wide or the puck just rolled off someone's stick before they got near the net and the GWG was a flub that trickled through the goalie's pads anyway.
