Shot discrepancy aside, that period was ugly as hell. Tons of broken plays in the defensive and neutral zones, very few pucks getting in deep, and almost no clean puck movement. Ugly, ugly hockey.

Yep, both sides have a lot to improve on.

They do have to clean things up but they way outshot and outplayed Vancouver that period. Vancouver is the one that needs to step it up if they want to win, and they played last night so it won't be easy.

That's true, but when you're this sloppy it makes it easy for the other team to get a quick goal on you.

The shots they faced were mostly easily angled saves, that any goalie would have top of the league stats.
