Not many positives when you lose to an AHL squad the night before you’re about to start a 21 year old rookie goal. Krug is pretty much the only positive. 5-0 turned to 6-3 awfully quick.

Krug stole a point for us.

What's Berube's obsession with Schenn on the shootout? He routinely puts him out there and Schenn fumbles the puck more often than not. Would've rather seen Bozak, Saad, Buchnevich, or even Neal first.
its his boy from philly ...schenner is great but yeas we have better options in the shootout imo

edit : its like not using hoffman on the powerplay

hey 6-3 can be written as 6-1-2 as well which is kind of 7-1 if you think about it poorly

Kings are on the come up. Lots of good young pieces so they should be taken as an AHL squad. If you do, your bound to lose.

Tarasenko seems to have used up his extra effort to prove that he is still a player. Had 2 points but first 1 was a muffin that quick fumbled and 2nd was 2ndary.

team needs to have a good game tomorrow. 2 games in a row of this sort of shit play is not acceptable.

I disagree here. I feel like we played significantly better against Chicago and Fleury was just exceptional in that game. We definitely had some moments tonight where we looked good but as the game went on I felt like we got further and further away from our game.

Well crap…..Binny is not having his best shoot em up here
That turns out to be one of the biggest understatements I can remember. If he hadn't had miraculous luck on Kopitar's double-poster, he'd have given up goals on EVERY Shootout shot! :( The ironic thing is that he played great in regulation, and super in OT. He just relaxed a little, after finally getting out of the OT, and somehow, couldn't muster his concentration for the shootout.

That was the most mundane regular season-ish game so far lol. Can't believe Krug tied it at the end there to get a point, just thankful for that. Maybe mix the lines up a little next game?

I didn’t love Neal tonight. Put neighbours in tomorrow. And break up the Schenn Perron Kyrou line.
I think tonight's weak regulation game from Perron wasn't so much that he didn't click with his linemates, but that he lacked any energy. Maybe he is fighting off the flu or some other disease? He did score a score a nice goal in OT, however. But that doesn't take a burst of energy like is needed to beat off defenders in a real game.

The Blues clearly tired in The 3rd, especially after several penalty kills, and The younger Kings took advantage separating the tired Blues' defenders with long stretch passes, and beat The Blues up ice, and were able to st up in The O-Zone. Then, they got more and better shots, after beating the tired Blues to the puck, over and over again. It was just a matter of time. The Blues were lucky to get the single point. They couldn't mount any offensive push in OT, at all, probably from getting even more tired from their 2 penalties during the last 2 minutes of Regulation, plus the 1 minute of PK at the beginning of OT. They lost almost every faceoff, and lost the puck almost every time they got it, due to being pressured constantly by The energetic Kings, lost the puck, or made weak passes that were intercepted. Only Binnington's fabulous play in OT, plus a couple lucky bounces, got them through to The Shootout.

ROR is the engine of an 18-wheeler

Without him we have the engine of a Honda hatchback

I don't think there are many forwards in the league that are more important to their team than ROR. Perron has looked mostly invisible without him in the lineup, and we just can't get anything going 5-on-5. Nice to see Krug stick it to the haters with an excellent game...he was the best player for either team and Keith Jones couldn't stop praising him all game.

Binner kept us in this one, but man did he look horrible in that shootout. Oh well, shake it off and come out strong tonight.

In five games with captain Ryan O’Reilly in the lineup, the Blues averaged five goals per game and went 5-0-0. In the three games without him, they have scored six goals – total - in regulation and are 1-1-1.

Glad I didn't stay up for that one.

Would have thrown my phone through my tv on that goalie interference call.

Then I would have thrown my TV out the window after missing the most BLATANT delay of game with 4 minutes left.

Hockey really needs to update their officiating syle.

Well the Blues are 6-1-1 so idk what you're talking about. It's a long season. The team is bound to have some stinkers here and there. It's more of a positive that they played bad and still found a way to get a point. That's what good teams do.
