Indeed. So I’m now a bun dad. We lost one unexpectedly 3 years ago. I know I’m not over it.

May Mr. Bubbles rest in peace and paradise. It's hard to lose the ones close to you and your famly, even if they're our furry, feathery, and scaly friends.

@Drubilly don't know if you started watching 'Dark' yet, but I finished the three seasons and then unsubscribed from Netlfix.

S1 encapsulates the entire premise of the show, but S2&3 provide more important bits of truth, especially S3.

What I'm about to write is not a spoiler because it is pretty easy to see where the show is going.

As previously mentioned, there are several overarching themes running throughout the series. The #1 theme or concept is reincarnation and incarnating into iterations of ourselves, but also iterations of the others that were in your life. For example, one can be a son in this life and then reincarnate into a very similar situation and context except, this time, they are their own mother. In other words, one can (or rather want to) reincarnate back into the same situation, but to experience that situation from another perspective.

#2 main theme is the Trinity in Catholicism. S3 goes deep into untying the knot (the Trinity) in order to let go and not reincarnate into this mess and experience the same thing again. And the teachings of this idea to pass down to those unaware come from the #3 theme, our spirit guides or guardian angels. I and others see guardian angels as simply other/older versions of ourselves connecting with us however they can (dreams).

Good friend of mine swears up and down that he talks to an older version of himself in his dreams, or rather his real self is communicating with his Earth avatar to guide his perceptions.

There's also the time travel thing and other important concepts, but the gist of 'Dark' is letting go of who it is we think we are and our attachments to this experience. The more attached we are to our current, Earth identity, the more likely we are to reincarnate. Letting go of the religious dogma that keeps us locked into a reincarnation cycle based on guilt and assumptions is the key.

You may ask, What is the purpose of a reincarnation cycle? Or, How/why does it happen? That is a can of worms that I will leave unopened.

I will add that the 'Dark' wiki page is hilariously sad. There's a huge family tree connecting everyone together, as if that really matters. It is a distraction. Clearly, many people are hung up on the particulars of the distractors and miss the forest for the trees.

Although, there is a major theme that we are all connected, so the tree thing.

If you got this far in my ramblings (lol), then I think you will love it. We always to have to keep in mind that the Controllers (powers that be) drop bits of truth in film, TV and books, especially science-fiction. They need the hard truths to be housed in sci-fi, so that the masses don't believe it. But the Controllers continually drop truths in our media (and have been for a looooooong time now) in order to alleviate karmic concerns. "We told you what was happening! But you are too stupid to recognize it for what it is! Not our problem. Good luck."

Last night, I watched 'Dr. Strangelove' again (1964 war comedy) and they drop the fluoride truth masked in an absurdist comedy. Who is going to take that seriously? But that's the whole point. Tell the truth, but mask it and discredit the truth.

Or the 'Oppenheimer' film. They are telling us that they never used a true, nuclear chain reaction bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as we've been programmed to believe. They used a really f***ing huge dirty bomb. That is the point of 'Oppenheimer'. They used a 3 hour long film just to tell us this. Are we paying attention? Gold nuggets of truth separated from distractors.

NHL 25 player ratings are sometimes kinda weird. For example they have POJ marked at an 83 Overall.

I haven't played since 23 I think but I do remember everyone being ranked waaaaaay to high even bottom of the lineup players and prospects

I just put my pre-order in for NHL 25 last night. I hope they've made some good improvements this year. I haven't been following the updates for this year's version. I get it every year and get my money's worth just cause I like playing video gane hockey. But last year was very meg aside from shortened seasons to let me play mire years.

At an 83 and on a cheap deal, Poj will be a 3LD in my franchise. I totally revamp my teams in those games. He'll probably be the same rating as Leddy and much cheaper.

Mostly everyone on the Blues seem normal. I would probably bump Thomas up to 89 from 88, and Buch from 86 to 87. Most of our bottom of the lineup players are all at around 79-82. I just think having POJ at 83 is crazy. I'd have him at 80 tops.

After the first Roster update I might go through all of the teams and do some manual editing throughout the league. Or I might use another persons updated roster you can download.

See I think the rankings for bottom of the lineup players shouldn't be in the 80s, POJ is a 7th dman who isn't even an established top 6 guy, I would think that should be somewhere around the low 70 at the very best

I'm mainly just going by ea ratings, they have 78-81 has bottom of the lineup players. I agree that they have ratings way too high for bottom of the lineup players.

I haven’t played a recent (I mean post-2012) version of EA’s NHL - how long is the Be a GM Mode now? On NHL ‘11 (my favorite) it was up to 25 years. Was hoping they’d extend it even further.

There are a shit ton (or maybe just a crap load) of self-driving, autonomous Jaguars from Waymo in the Phoenix area. Sort of like a driverless Uber. But I'm guessing it has other purposes besides ride-share.

Last night, one of those driverless Waymo Jags became confused and blocked the busiest intersection of Central Phoenix's nightlife parts. It just sat there pointed directly at a corner that WAS filled with people. They cleared out.

This one if for you ChicagoBlues. I heard this live once by a brass ensemble. The New Mexico Symphony was playing in a high school auditorium ( a nice one) for reasons I don't recall. A bunch of trumpet players, a tympani and some other brass were in a semicircle on the stage. It was an intimate setting. The song starts fairly soft and harmonic. Then the volume rose and the power of the horns was indisputable. It blew me away. That song changed my life.

I've struggled to find recordings that do it half-justice, and to find performances where I might hear it live again. I never have.

EDIT - my original link was not allowed for some reason. Here is a different Youtube recording. This is a song that loses much of its power when recorded in comparison to the live experience.

The only part of the NFL that I care about is seeing how the quarterbacks are doing across the league. Jayden Daniels (Commanders) is straight up awesome. That dude is accurate. He is not a thrower, he's a passer. It's great to see him flourish while Caleb flounders. Da Bears!

My family is fine. We had some fatalities in town and a lot of destroyed houses/businesses. But we are partway up the mountains so we’re only minorly inconvenienced.

This is a couple miles from our house. The hospital that was evacuated by helicopter is in Erwin too. Weird for our little town to be in the national news.

We are grateful for our good fortune, and planning to join with our neighbors in the work crews in coming weekends to muck out houses and rip out rotten drywall, etc. When I lived in Texas I had several occasions to help with hurricane cleanup, but I never imagined I’d be doing it in Appalachia.
