Monty had 3 games to 1 lead twice bumbled once with historic point season team and almost coughed it up another 3 to 1 lead against leafs. I'm not sure why is so hyped to be so amazing?
In all fairness the Bruins over the last half century have a solid tradition of playoff choking when not playing the Leafs.Monty had 3 games to 1 lead twice bumbled once with historic point season team and almost coughed it up another 3 to 1 lead against leafs. It was more than well deserved to any Bruins fan that actually follows the team.
Montgomery (and entire coaching staff) were a problem as much as Sweeney who built the roster with a different vision in mind than Montgomery could game plan for.
Good for Jim to get 5 years of security, not so good for St. Louis. Great person, average at best coach overall.
Wouldn’t be the worse thing to get a good systems coaches here to start implementing the style they need when they aim to be goodHabs are a bottom 10 team, with or without the best possible NHL coach. Replace MSL when they get a decent lineup and he still loses. That's not happening before another 2 years+
Very true I'm a bruins fan so I know that best. Still I think Monty is a bit overrated. I guess time will tell.In all fairness the Bruins over the last half century have a solid tradition of playoff choking when not playing the Leafs.
Yeah. Now we live in two different places.Shocking news...right where Monty's wife wanted to be. Every married man knows how that goes
He's changing his name to Monty St Louis to get a five year extension, lolMSL survives. Damn
In not convinced he's a very good HC.Guess it depends how badly he wanted to get back behind a bench. I thought he might take a few months off to recharge but apparently not.
Based on his trajectory from the USHL to NCAA to NHL he’s built an impressive coaching resume over a decade+ and it’s safe to say you’re in the minority. In not convinced he's a very good HC.
Think he'd very much be available in June/July
Yes, he was intentionally taking in Boston while simultaneously conspiring with Army. Good take. With the way he was coaching this season can't help but get the idea Monty got exactly what he wanted.
Good luck to him in St Louis, he's going to need it.
thanksYes, he was intentionally taking in Boston while simultaneously conspiring with Army. Good take.
In fairness, Linus going behind the net coughed up the 3-1 lead vs FlaMonty had 3 games to 1 lead twice bumbled once with historic point season team and almost coughed it up another 3 to 1 lead against leafs. I'm not sure why is so hyped to be so amazing?
Yep and he was booted out too.In fairness, Linus going behind the net coughed up the 3-1 lead vs Fla
I'm an old timer. Bring back Gerry Cheevers and Don CherryYep and he was booted out too.
It is the perfect fit, but understandable if other fans don't know about the established connections.Montgomery didn't go long without a job... not sure it's a fit but it wasn't looking great in St Louis
