oh my god that is about the most vapid announcing and color commentating I've ever heard. how are they not dying of boredom in the middle of each other talking so that they're continuously dead from it?

"And just like we said before! The game won't be over until it is! You can never know what could unfold between now and the final whistle. oh it's so true, so true."

Junior hockey is surreal. Kelowna had deadened out the game over the first 54 minutes and led 2-0, Stancl with 2 assists. (oh I guess they only gave one assist here but he definitely was the prior Rocket touching it)

Then Kelowna and Kamloops get matching minors and it's 4 on 4.

Then Kamloops scored 3 goals in 33 seconds. The first goal was a SPECTACULAR end to end rush from Emmett Finnie, during which he stickhandled through his own legs as he dangled the defensemen then cut back into the crease right to the net.

That's where things are with 3 minutes to go. This was not a 2-0 game with any life or chance for Kamloops. Now Paupanekis ties it 6 on 5. Stancl out there but didnt touch it.

Kamloops 4-3 in OT. Finnie wins it

all prospects play today somewhere at a time that's pacific time, starting with Lindstein and ending with Stancl

edit: Linidstein with a +1 in 15:38 of play today in a 3-1 win

Burns is next up, he plays at noon pacific against Ottawa. His team won 7-6 in OT against Saginaw last night and he had an assist and was even

Fishcer's goal last night was right off the O zone draw. back to the left point, over to the middle of the ice and he bombed it in.

Jecho's goal (1+1 last night) was a snipe from the left faceoff dot actually a little wide of and down below the dot it was a nice shot.

Mrsic had a goal and 2 assists yesterday aswell. He's trending towards a 100+ point season. I still have a hard time projecting him as an NHL-player, but his performances are hopeful. I mostly see him as a potential tradechip who's value is increasing. I can see us adding him, along with our 1st to improve at a position of necessity.

Snuggs shot and release are lethal. Hopefully his 2 way game improves. If so, he’s going to be a good one, especially if he plays with a playmaker like Thomas

This was a fairly quiet night for Stancl, one deft net front assist, 2 shots on goal and even despite being on the ice for 3 goals for and 5 goals against (Van had 4PP goals)

The top two tiers make sense to me. The third one you could put on spin cycle and come out with an equally defensible ranking. Although I am quite a bit more bullish on Stancl and Robertsson than Wheeler is, I think his rankings are fair given the uneven trajectories they’ve taken so far.

Given that he isn’t sold on Stancl, who we all mostly seem to think belongs closer to that second tier, I can see why we’re ranked where we are. If he’s wrong, then we’ll be higher next year when more of these guys graduate and show what they can do at the pro level.

14th seems fair. There are a lot of middle-six hopefuls at forward and bottom-pair defensemen on the list, but only four guys who have top-6 forward or top-4 D upside…and even those four don’t project as top-line or top-pairing.

A whole lot is going to have to go right, or some significant leveling-up is going to have to take place for the Blues to get results that exceed these expectations.
