He started the year out loaned to Lada, from SKA. Then SKA brought him back. Then SKA traded him to Traktor.

Link

A few months ago, @Caser told us that Koromyslov refused to sign an extension with SKA and they were jerking him around as they knew he wouldn’t be staying with them. I believe he speculated that Arseni would be coming to N.A. next season.

My take: SKA isn’t interested in continuing his development as he appears to have one foot out the door. So they loaned him out and then traded him. He just needs to get through this season, hopefully do well for Traktor and then my hope is he signs with the Blues and we see him in Springfield next season.
I don't remember stating that at least that recently, did I really say that?

I now remembered that I did, but it was like a year ago. Since then Koromyslov extended though, so his KHL contract is now until the end of 2025/26.
Gotcha. And that’s why I tagged you as perhaps you’d have updated info!

Thanks for the update. Somewhat disappointing he signed on for another year though. Why don’t think led to the trade from SKA to Traktor? Is this likely to be good for him? Any updated thoughts on his likely timeline to the NHL?

McIsaac is having a pretty nice game. That's twice now a chance with Stancl's line had its chance wiped out by McIsaac. Stancl has had some dangerous chances ... but it is 9-0 Spokane with just a bit left

Catton gets a hat trick on 10 shots (50 overall), Stancl had 6 shots but his 5 game goal scoring streak was broken. Final 10-0 Spokane. Stancl 10/18 in the dot. McIsaac finished +5 and looked like someone I should watch more, he was way more involved than the last time I saw them. They are going to be pretty good loaded up with Cristall now, each of Cristall and Catton had 4 point nights.

Regan Bartel is the PBP guy's name. He's excellent, really dialed in and a lot of tough names. Has a lot of fun though not as much when they lose 10-0

Being the best player in NCAA hockey means alot but doesn't mean you're a sure fire star by any means. Also don't think age matters. Would you knock someone for rookie of the year because he was a few years older than other rookies? I wouldn't. College hockey is more competitive now than it's been in decades too.
In the past, the Hobey Baker didn’t translate to bonafide future hockey stars, much less an every day nhl player.

But college hockey talent pools have improved significantly over the last 10 years. It holds more weight than it has previously.

Logan Cooley is the same age as Snuggerud. Cooley did not win the Hobey Baker because he turned pro after his freshman year. If Snuggerud wins the HB this year while Cooley is putting up close to a point per game in the NHL at the same age, who would you project to be the better player long term?

Depends what your needs are. Cooley is a future 1C which we know don’t grow on trees. I’d take a gifted center over a winger any day BUT Snuggerud projects as an elite power forward which may be even more difficult to find. He definitely has all the tools.

No he doesn't. He diesn't project as elite or really play like a PF. He is a sniper. He'll go to the net, but isn't going to make his living there, especially in the NHL. He gas the possibility to be elite due to hus shot, but I wouldn't say that is the most likely outcome.

We should sign Liam Malqvust and Harrison Scott. They have better point per game in NCAA than Snuggy. Never mind that they are 24 and went undrafted every time they were eligible. Age does not matter according to some and they are playing better than Snuggy. Trade Snuggy and sign the 24 year old college players!!!! :sarcasm:
